Slowly the week flew by, spats with Archer becoming common. Even the teacher knew that we both had an argument in every class. I had heard some girls even giggling about how I liked the nerd.

As if.

You do find him cute.

I also find rabbits cute, doesn’t mean I love them.

Did you just call Archer a rabbit?

He had tried to make me stay after school but I had refused, making it clear that I won’t spend more than I was forced to with the nerd pack.

I was on my way out on Friday when his lands on my shoulder. Ignoring the tiny sparks I feel, I face him, already sneering at him.

“I am not going to stay, Theron.” I spit out and his lips turn down in a frown as he lets out a snort.

“Oh I’m aware of that which is why we are going to work on the project at my house and you are coming.” His reply is stiff, almost like a command and knowing myself, I don’t react well to commands.

“Oh and what if I don’t?” I ask, faking a concerned tone before it morphs into a snarl. “I have better places to be than at a nerd’s house.”

He clenches his jaw which becomes more prominent.

Kinda hot…..kinda lick-able jaw.

I realize I am staring at his jaw and look up to see his eyes swimming with anger.

“Look, I looked after Ian that one time so can you do this as a thank you for that.” He seems on the verge of yelling and a part of me wants to taunt him further, piss him off badly but instead I just growl out an okay and rush out of the hall.

Ugh, I can’t believe I got stuck with that. Stupid project.

He is a fucking douchebag. I couldn’t wait for this stupid project to be over. Noticing that I have some time to kill before picking up Ian, I walk to the back of the building and take out a cigarette. Inhaling the toxic smoke, I relax against the wall, I see Archer stamp out of the building and towards a red pick-up truck. His tousled hair is messed up and he has a bunch of books in his hands.

I smirk as he trips on air and tries to keep his balance, his glasses slide down his nose and he scrunches his nose in an attempt to keep them from falling down further.

Woah, stop noticing so much things about him, idiot.

I am about to take another drag from my lit cigarette when my phone rings and I take it out, picking up when I see an unknown number lightening up the screen. By the end of the call, I feel like punching the wall in anger. Frustration flows through my veins as I try to keep my breathing normal.

The sound of engine dying makes way to my ears and I look up to see an annoyed Archer get out of his pick-up truck to pop up the bonnet. An idea suddenly pops into my head and I grimace at the thought before making my way to my bike and maneuvering it towards Archer’s car. I try to maintain my composure, making sure to remove all traces of anger or any other emotion from my face. The nerd looks up when he hears me approaching, his eyebrow raising questionably.
