Natsus pov
After school

"Hey Natsu! Wait up!!" I heard someone run up to me

"Hmm? Oh hey Luce" I looked at her

"Are you ok? You were acting strange today, especially at PE" she told me

"Oh was I? I'm fine" I assured her

"Hm. Alright, I'll believe you. But if there's anything wrong, you can always talk to me" she smiled

"I will thanks....a-actually umm I need to ask you something"

"Oh? What is it Natsu?" She looked straight at me

"Y-you see.. Uhh how a-about we go out somewhere to eat, Saturday maybe around noon?" I blushed

"With Wendy too?" She asked

"N-no..just the two of us."

"Oh so l-like a d-date??" She blushed

"K-kinda..." I scratched my cheek

"I-I'd love to" she smiled blushing

"REALLY??" I asked surprised

"ya, it sounds like it would be fun" she replied

"awesome! I can go pick you up if you'd like?"

"That would be great"

Honk, honk

"Lucy! Come on! You can't ride the bus today. I have to go to a meeting" Lucys mother called out

"Oh uh coming mom! Sorry Natsu, maybe you can text me more information about our date?" She asked

"Of course. Go with your mom" I pushed her towards the car

"Ok, ok! See ya!" She waved bye as she got in the car

"Bye!" I waved back and got on the bus

'Man, that was scary...
Who knew asking out a girl can be so terrifying' I thought to myself as I sat down

Lucy's pov

"So~ who's the guy?" My mom smiled mischievously

"A friend" I simply replied

"Liar. I heard you say something about a date. Tell me!" She pleaded

"He's just a friend, mom. And yes, we do have a date Saturday. It's no big deal, I've hanged out with him and his sister before, this will just be us having fun like always" I smiled

"Lucy, Lucy, Lucy, can't you see darling? This is no Funtime-means nothing, type of date! That boy likes you~" she smirked

"As if, Natsu wouldn't like me that way" I assured her

"Say what you want, but I can tell he likes you" my mom said

"Yeah, yeah. I thought you had a meeting to go to?" I looked at her

"Oh, I do..kinda."

"What do you mean "kinda"?" I asked her

"Well. The meeting isn't until later and it's not really important. Sooooo~ I decided I'm going to take you shopping!" She smiled

"Ok, not that I'm disagreeing about going shopping. But, why all of the sudden?" I asked confused

"You like to ask questions don't you? And because I want to. Just make sure you pick something beautiful" she responded

"I ask questions cuz this is suspicious" I glared at her

"Oh hush! You like shopping and I'm going to take you shopping!" She hit me playfully on the arm
