Catching up

Aphmau's POV

I stare at Phoenix tears already rolling down my cheeks from happiness. "Wait I'm confused." Garroth says, "oh Garroth this is the girl who I thought you killed but turns out Zane would of been responsible for." I begin, "this is my sister." I say cheerfully. Garroth looks at me and gives a small smile, "yeah Aphmau I'm really sorry about that." He says awkwardly. "Heh, don't worry about it! She's here so it's all a-okay!" I tell him with cheer.

        A piece of my hair falls into my face making me move it away. I look at Phoenix she was staring at Laurence with a look of interest. "So, Phoenix. Trying not to be a downer during your mini reunion. What did you mean when you were saying it's all your fault? That you were trying to prevent it but ended up causing it. Because if you Aphmau was going to meet Zane?" Garroth asks. Phoenix just looks at him fear in her eyes. "Well, Zane had tried to kill me as a child with the fire." She motions to Aphmau, "but when the house collapsed there was a space so I wasn't squished. Zane saw me alive and left me to starve and eventually die, because I was still stuck under the piece of wood that fell. He bound my mouth with rope so I couldn't call for help, but a girl found me. A girl named Matilda, she helped me and cared for me. She wanted to take me back to Phoenix Drop but it was just too far for her to travel not to mention she was pregnant. Everything was perfect until Zane came enraged at Matilda for saving me, so he took her somewhere also taking me. He kept questioning me, about where Aphmau was. He said something about a prophecy of Irene, and that Aphmau was apart of it." She began.

     I listen intently because I didn't know what had happened to her. "Have you heard of Falcon Claw? And the legend of how the lord went mad and killed all of his kingdom?" Phoenix asks. Suddenly Galatea and Aaron walk in, "hey guys! I see you've meet Ph-" she begins but I cut her off, "shh!" She shuts her mouth quickly. "You." Phoenix says pointing at Aaron, "the legend speaks of you." She says quietly, "yes." Aaron says in his deep voice as if knowing what she was talking about. Galatea gasps, "no! It's not like that it was a misunderstanding? He didn't kill them!" She calls, "I know." Phoenix says.

      "The legend is wrong. It was Zane who caused it, giving the Kings son an amulet, the king took it from him a bright light emitted and everything and one was dead." Phoenix explains. "That's what broke me, he did that so I'd tell him where Aphmau was." Phoenix says tears rolling down her face. "He threatened to do it to even more kingdoms and I couldn't just sit there and watch everyone instantly die." Phoenix says. "Zane left me in the forest where Garroth found me, he used me as a trap to take Garroth and try to get Aphmau to turn on him by telling her he was Prince of O'khasis. He already had Laurence." Phoenix explains. "Which led to us being here." She says quietly, wiping her tears away. "So it was your fault." Aaron mumbles. "It's your fault their dead! It's your fault everyone feared me for years! It's your fault I had to go into hiding because everyone thought I was a mad murderer!" Aaron says coldly a black dog surrounds him, while he slowly walks up to Phoenix.

         "Aaron! Stop! It's not her fault Zane is a cold blooded monster!" Galatea says grabbing his arms, he pushes her of making her fall. "Aaron! Stop!" Galatea calls. He ignores her and grabs Phoenix's neck. "Aaron!" I yell, he looks at me but doesn't let go. His mask thing had fell showing dark eyes and black hair. He was cute yes but I didn't care, "Aaron!" Garroth and Laurence call. They try to pull him back but he was too strong. "Aaron!" I yell a sudden bright light appears around me. A white sword materializes in my hands. Wings coming out form my back my feet hover slightly above the ground. I put the sword down and my hands move as if it was instincts. And a golden light spears from the picking Aaron up ad throwing him back. My wings and sword disappear leaving me on the floor out of breath.

       I look up and see everyone around me. Even Phoenix after she was choked. We hear Aaron laugh, we all turn to him and see him standing again, "so the prophecy is true." He says, no longer in his voice but in Zane's voice. A dark fog appears around Aaron and Zane appears. Aaron was on the ground knocked out, Zane just laughs. The smoke reappears and disappears along with Zane. "Was that the same prophecy you were talking about Phoenix?" Laurence asks, "y-yes." She says fearfully. "What does that mean?" I ask just as fearful. "I-I don't know." She replies.
