Nine

         I put Jeanine's arm around me and try to take her back to the barn, hurrying so that the man doesn't shoot me. A lot was running through my mind. Will taking Jeanine back to the barn reveal my identity to Winston? and the Captian? Is Jeanine gonna die? I couldn't help but cry hearing Jeanine screaming in pain. I hurry fast and we make it inside to the barn. I lay her on a cot and people crowd around her offering her water and comforting her. I take out my phone and immediantly call 911

911: Whats your emergency?

Me:A man....a-a-and he had a gun and shot....i'm so scared

I couldn't even speak

911: Miss? I can't you speak up.

Me: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE COME QUICK MY BEST FRIEND IS DYING!

911: calm down, we are sending help on the way.

Me: thank you

   A few minutes later some police cars and ambulance trucks come. Paramedics rush out of the truck and rush to Jeanine with their Stuff. Police officers search the area and one of them came up to me and started asking questions.

Officer: Whats your name?

Me: E-E-Eva

Offficer: Eva, I know your scared but I just need to ask you a few questions

Me: o-ok

Officer: Do you know who this man was?

Me: He was siblings with him

I point to Zach who was pouring a glass of water for Jeanine

Officer: Did he shoot her for any particular reason?

Crap, I cant tell him about the secrets of the train or else we would have an even bigger chance of risking our lives.

Me: No

I feel really bad for lying, but I did it for Jeanine.

Officer: thank you, Jeanine will be ok, she just needs to wear a fabric bandage around her stomach for a few days. I will let her know about everything thats going on when she wakes up, shes resting now.

Me: ok

   He heads over to Zach to ask him questions and i head straight outside and try to think of a plan to get Winston to not recognize Jeanine. So I grab the makeup from the lady we stole it from ( Yes, I still have it) and disguise myself. I quickly grab Winston's bag and put it oustide. Then i stand on a Stack of hay and try to get everyones attention. " Hey! Everyone! there in a camo Nike Backpack Outside being eaten by a cow!". Winston runs outside. Yes! it worked!

         A few hours later, It's Sunset and Everyone is calm and resting. The police and ambulance have left. I was sitting On a cot, waiting for Jeanine. The ambulance tok her to the hospital and said they would bring her back around 5:00. I look at my phone, its 4:58. Two minutes later, a small cr pulls up to the barn and a man comes out with a cot with wheels on it and Jeanine laying on it. He leaves her on a cot with a blanket, She looks up to see me

Me:Jeanine!

I lean in to give her a hug and then all of a sudden

she dodges it
