The Group

Diana POV

We are on our way to our abandoned house to inform the other about Cassie, when Faye decides to ask more questions. "But why does she want nothing to do with it? She is obviously aware of her powers." She says asking for the fourth time. I just Ignore her as we are just coming up to the house. We get out and walk to the door. When we enter Adam greets me with a hug. Then, all the questions start. "What happened? Did you tell her? How did she take it? Is she going to join the circle?"  and before I can answer them, More questions come. "Enough!" I shout getting everyone to be quiet and allow me to think. "I told Cassie, but she already knew." "Really? That's great. Where is she." Jake asks and I shake my head. "Well she said she wanted nothing to do with it." "With what? The Circle?" Adam asks. "Magic." I say and everyone goes quiet.

More questions come and I just stand there not knowing to the answers. "The bitch doesn't want magic, she's just scared she's going to hurt herself." Faye says and I look at her. "Are you kidding me? Did you already forget that she stopped the storm that you lost control of and couldn't stop?"  Faye just looks at me and walks off. "What storm?" Melissa asks. "Faye created a storm and lost control. I almost got struck by lightning twice and she couldn't stop it. Cassie saw and came down to the docks. She's the one who stopped the storm." I say and they all looked shocked. "Melissa, can you go find Faye? Make sure she doesn't do anything stupid again?" I ask her and she leaves after Faye.

"I don't know why Cassie doesn't want anything to do with magic, But from what I've seen she knows how to use it." I say. "Jake, since you live next to her, keep an eye on her. Just make sure she doesn't get In trouble or hurt." I tell him and he leaves. Now its just Adam and I. "So, enough stress for today. What would you like to do?" He asks and I smile.

"I would love to hang out with you today, But I promised my dad I would be home for supper." I say and he makes a pouty face. "Ok" he says and kisses me. "See you tomorrow." we both say and leave the Abandoned house. Little did he know, I am on my way to find Cassie.

After doing a locater spell I found Cassie at the beach. I walk up behind her and am about to speak but she does first. "What do you want Diana?" "How did you know it was me?" I ask confused because she's facing the opposite way. "I can sense your magic, And you are the only one who would try to talk to me again." She says turning around. "Why? Why don't you want anything to do with, magic?" I say looking around to make sure no one is close enough to hear. She doesn't answer and just looks up at the sky.

"Did you hurt someone?" I ask cautiously. Cassie sighs and shakes her head. "No, I didn't. But magic did." She says turning around. She must see me confused because she starts to explain. "I was on my way home from, somewhere, and someone used magic to blow out my tires." She says and sighs once again before continuing. "By the time I got to my house, It was in flames. My mother..." "was in the house." I finished her sentence as I see a tear make its way down her cheek.

She wiped away the tear and her face went from sad to emotionless in a second. "What do you want from me?" "I want you to join our circle." I barely finish the sentence before she laughs. "I already told you, I want nothing to do with magic. That includes your pathetic circle." "Cassie, You saw what Faye did. She lost control, but you seem to have full control. If you don't join our circle, people will get hurt." "I don...." she sighed. "Tomorrow morning, bring everyone to the abandoned house you guys go to. Then we will talk." She says and walks away.

Sorry for not uploading in a while. Its near the end of school and everything is chaos. But here's another chapter. -Stephanie
