Cassie POV
I wake up around four o'clock and look over to see Diana still sleeping. Since I had an air mattress in my closet Diana said she could sleep on that. I didn't want to wake her because we didn't actually go to bed until around one o'clock. I just stared at my ceiling looking at the stars until she woke. "How early did you wake up?" I hear her ask. I turn on my side so I can see her because my mattress is higher than the air mattress. "Around four-ish." I say and she sits up. "Do you always get up that early?" She asks and I shrug. "Something wakes me and I cant go back to sleep." I say flipping on my back again. "So, since todays Saturday, we normally meet at the abandoned house and just talk." Diana says and I sigh remembering last night. "One question, How exactly are we going to control Faye?" I say and she smiles. "If you figure that out. let me know." She says and we both laugh.
We get up and I gave Diana some extra clothes. After we got dressed we head to the Abandoned house and waited for everyone to get there. First to arrive was Adam, then Jake, then Melissa, then Faye. "Diana where were you last night? I tried to call but you didn't answer." Adam asked " Yeah, I stayed at Cassies house last night and forgot my phone here." she said and he nodded. "Two questions. What are we going to do today? and Why is she here?" Faye asked pointing to me. "Ok I have a name, and I'm a part of your circle, that's why in here." I say.
"Yeah but not of our group so get lost. Plus, you said you didn't want anything to do with magic." Faye spat back. "Diana changed my mind." "Really? How did she do that?" Adam asked almost excited. "She told me that magic isn't evil if you use it the right way." I say and glance at Faye. "Maybe we should just let her find out by herself." I say to Diana and she gives me a look. "Find out what?" Jake asks while leaning up against a wall. "Um, last night Cassie told me that if we bound the circle we cant do solo magic anymore." Diana says and everyone fell silent.
"What?! I don't believe you." Faye yelled. "Diana and I tried it at my house. Its true." I say and Faye looks like she is either going to cry or scream. "Burning star, Blood red eye." Faye said and nothing happened. Melissa pulled out a candle and grabbed Faye. "Air around me, Grant me fire." They say and the candle ignites. "Are you fucking kidding me? You waited till after we bound the circle to tell us!" Faye yelled stepping closer to me. I take a step back. "I knew at least you would want to keep solo magic and put other lives in danger just to have power." I say and she steps closer. "Faye, she has a point, its better to have control than have power." Adam says and Faye walks out the door slamming it behind her.
"I guess you were right Cassie, She did flip." Diana says and I take a breath. "Melissa, can you" Before Diana says anything Melissa's out the door. "So what do you guys want to do today?" Jake asks
