I returned back home to get dressed for dinner. But as I was beginning to leave, I got a text from Josh telling me that dinner was going to be at the beach. So, I turned my fancy clothes into more suitable clothes for the beach.
Though I do sometimes wear shorts, I really prefer capris. They are just more comfortable to me. So I change into a pair of them and a lose, white, see-through shirt. With a turquoise tank top underneath. Then slip on some flip flops. The outfit itself is so comfy that I decide to just leave my hair down. My long brunette waves flow down until my chest. I apply a light and simple line of black liquid liner on my upper eyelid. Then drive to the beach.
It takes a while of walking to find Josh. And it turned out it wasn't him when ever I thought it was. I just decide to text him and ask where he is. But he didn't answer, no matter how many times I asked. I just kept walking and walking. Finally I think I found him at the very end of the beach where no one barely goes. When he turns and smiles, it confirms any questioning.
"Hi" he smiles
"Hey" I say. I'm holding my flip-flops at this point. Have you ever tried walking a mile in sand with flip-flops? It's hard.
"I hope you like peanut butter and jelly." he laughs
"It's my favorite" I laugh. He pats on the blanket he's sitting on. I come and sit next to him.
"The view is beautiful." I say as I stare at the ocean. He just stares with me, but then I see him looking at me from the corner of my eye. I just start laughing.
"What?" he asks looking confused.
"Nothing" I say. "Your just so.......romantic" I laugh.
"I am! I really am!" he laughs.
I smile. He smiles back and then begins digging into his picnic basket.
He pulls out sandwiches and juice boxes. We both laugh at the fact that he brought juice boxes. Then we eat. By the time we finish, almost all of the already small crowd has left. We decide to go walk by the water. He grabs my hand and I don't hesitate to grab his back. By the time we get back to our blanket, everyone there has vanished. He pulls me back into the blanket with him. We lie down and stare at the now night sky. Since the blanket was so big, I grab the two ends and pull it around us so that we are warm.
Then we just stare at the stars. I'm cuddled up to him, and his arm is around me. I think I'm about to doze off on his chest, when I remembered he had said he needed to tell me something.
I look up at him.
"What did you have to tell me?" I ask.
"Um, well. I just wanted to tell you something." he says
"Yes?" I ask
"Well" he says as he begins sitting up.
"With my new role, I'm going to start filming soon, and...." he trails off.
"I'm not going to be able to spend as much time with you" he says
"What do you mean?" I ask, confused.
"I'll be able to see once in a while, while filming. But the film is highly anticipated and I'm going to be gone for about 3 months doing a press tour and signings." he says
"Oh." I say
"I can Skype you..." he says.
"Okay!" I say, and then rest my head on his lap.
"So, your okay with that?" he asks sort of surprised.
"Yeah, totally! I mean, who am I to stop you from being successful?" I tell him.
"Okay..." he says sounding confused.
"I guess what I'm saying is, I'm happy that this is all going to work out for you. And I'm not going to break up with you just because your getting even more successful." I tell him. "The most I can ask for is for you to call and Skype" I add just to relieve his confusion. "I don't give up that easy." I laugh. He doesn't say anything, but I can tell he is smiling. I resume my eyes closed on his chest, and fall asleep as he begins playing with my hair.
