Not long after, I kiss my family goodbye and they left for their hotel. Since I have a guest room, Gracie and Madison decided to stay in there instead of paying for a room like my family. After I finally pushed my friends out of my bedroom, I turned out the lights and crawled under the sheets. I've been so tired lately, and crave sleep. My vocal coach requests that I always go to bed at 9:00pm. Something to do with, if I spend more time sleeping and less time talking, my voice will stay 'pure'....I have no idea what keeping a voice pure means. So I don't even question her. Though I do sometimes brake the rule.
I wake up to the sound of a vibration. I look at my clock and see its 2:30am. I see my phone, still vibrating. I pick it up and hold it to my ear.
"Hello?" I keep repeating. But no one replies.
I eventually give up and put press my phone, to end the call. But as I look at the screen, I realize that it wasn't a call that made my phone vibrate, it was a text message. I'm was just to tired to even realize.
I swipe the text and see its from Josh.
"Finished early. Heading home now. I'll be at the airport in about two days"
I reply with a simple
"Okay" not really caring. I just want to sleep. I put my phone back down and hope he won't text me again.

The next morning, I wake up to the sound of laughter. The laughter of two silly girls. Madison and Gracie. I slip on my slippers and pull my hair up into a high pony tail. I don't even care that I'm in pink pajamas with kittens on them. They are just my friends.
I walk out of my room, up the stairs, and down the long hallway, finally reaching the kitchen.
"Morning sleepyhead!" I hear Gracie call out in a silly voice. They are both sitting around the center island.
"Morning?" I ask in a state of confusion. I see Josh stand up, and almost sprint towards me. He embraces me in a hug. Then stays with me under, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"Good morning" he says in a sweet voice.
"Morning" I say. "Why didn't you wake me up to tell me you were up?"
"We didn't want to disturb your sleep"
"Well, I'm up now." I tell them. They hand me a plateful of pancakes and I begin to enjoy. Suddenly we hear a beep on the phone from my family. It never rang, but went straight to voice message. They said something about not coming until dinner since I was going to be so busy today.
"Busy?" I ask. "Oh crap!" I say as I shovel one last forkful of pancakes in my mouth and push back my chair.
"What?" asks Madison.
"I have Ellen today!" I say as I shuffle through my drawer. Then I remember that Melissa, my stylist, sent everything I need to wear to my dressing room at the show. I tell the girls to hop in the car.
I drive them over to the Ellen studio. The second I'm there, I see a couple of body cars pointing me where to park and ushering me out of my car. They take Madison and Gracie and send them to the studio audience section, leaving me with the body guards. They show me into the building and to my dressing room. It even has my name on the door! I thank them and walk inside, hoping to be alone, at least while getting dressed.
Instead, I find my stylist Melissa. Also my hair person, Carlos. And my makeup and nails girl, Kasha. They treat me as a celebrity, and then a worker from the Ellen show comes in and offers me 'sparkling water' (fancy!). Once I'm done being pampered, I see that I am in a hot pink dress. It ends pretty short, about at my middle thigh. It is plain and short sleeved at the top, but the bottom almost resembles a tutu. But a different material and thinker. Its really cute! I'm pared with some yellow high heels that aren't too high, just how I like them. I have a pretty necklace on.....it's a gem that almost resembles the same shades and colors as a rainbow!
When I take a step back and look in the mirror, I see that my hair in down with a few more waves added to it. My makeup is simple, since Kasha knows I don't like too much or heavy makeup. It's blue eye liner, only on my upper eye lid, with a little swirl at the end of my eyes. Then some lipstick.
Once it's my time to go on, I leave my dressing room and meet these two little British girls who went on before me. They are so cute! They couldn't get enough of my hot pink dress, since they were wearing similar colored tutu's. They offer me boat loads of cotton candy, and I accept. How can't I?
Finally, I see Ellen introduce me on a small tv:
"Everyone knows those catchy songs! Now here's the face behind them! Please welcome Emma Heart!"
I hear one of my songs come on as I walk out and see the large crowd clapping for me.
