The Deltas

Chapter 7

   The room was dead silent. I might be exaggerating but I could hear the soft beat of my heart. He stared at Rohan, then Anna, and then Taylor. She had a cast in her left leg and her hands covered her mouth and tears formed in her eyes. Anna was staring at him with a blank face. Rohan stepped up to Andy and looked him straight in the eyes. Rohan's eyes became a glowing white and he stared at Andy's face and then back at his arm. He held Andy by the shoulders and Andy's tears suddenly his tears stopped. His arms retracted. Inch by inch they shrank back into his shoulders. His arms popped back into the sockets just like in my dream. 

   Rohan's eyes went back to their normal color and he stepped away from Andy and was gasping for breath. I could tell by the silence that we were all shocked but Andy seemed the most shocked. 

   "This *pant pant* is why you are all here. Each and everyone of you were gifted with amazing abilities." He said, hunched over.

   "What did you do to me? I heard your voice I'm my head but nothing was happening on the outside. I suddenly felt every emotion I've ever felt. The worst things in my life that I tried to hide and forget, they suddenly emerged." Andy said with his face scrunched up.

   "Yes, I psychically went through your thoughts to muster up the emotions you needed to control your 'stretching'." 

   "So you're  like Professor X and we're your band of freaks." He said stepping up to Rohan.

   Rohan didn't answer and Andy shakily walked back to his desk. He stumbled and was about to fall but Taylor was there. Somehow. We all looked back to where she was sitting just moments ago. She helped him up and with her cast they became enraveled in a really weird hug. I heard a snap next to me and Anna held half a pen in her hand and the other half dripped ink onto the floor. Andy and Taylor were still in some sort of hug and I think they kind of liked it. Anna stood up and snatched Taylor off of Andy, sending her sliding yards away in the floor. Andy fell backwards and hit his head.

   "Anna what are you-" Andy was cut off when Anna turned around and showed her face. Her eyes went pale like Rohan's but instead of glowing white, they were bloodshot red. Taylor stood up, and stared at Anna, challenging her to back down. Anna just smiled and walked over to Taylor. Taylor was small but also fierce. She slapped Anna right across the face and laughed. Anna turned back to Taylor and swung her fist but Taylor was gone. Just gone. There was a cloud of smoke where she was and out of nowhere she appeared behind Anna. Taylor smiled and punched Anna in the back. Anna swung around but Taylor vanished again. She was behind Anna again and kicked her in the leg. She kept vanishing and then delivering blows to Anna. Anna didn't flinch. Somewhere in her brain I could tell that she was trying to find a pattern. Taylor appeared behind Anna one last time but Anna swung around so fast, that her arm smacked Taylor straight into the wall! 

   Suddenly, Anna lifted off of the ground. Taylor's unconscious body also lifted but is drooped downwards. Rohan had one hand outstretched and one held to his head. 

   "ENOUGH!" Rohan's voice boomed.

   "I am trying to help you. But I can't do that if you guys want to start fights 24/7! So let's calm down and listen! Got it?!" Rohan yelled. I felt like I was in kindergarten and I had gotten in trouble even though I hadn't done anything wrong.

   "We have 'abilities' okay, but what do we do with them? Become superheroes?" Antonio joked.

   "After training." Rohan said.

   He lowered his hand and Taylor and Anna fell to the ground. Anna stood up, breathing heavily. The color in her eyes came back. She stepped forward looked at Andy and then her eyes rolled into her head and she fell down. Her chest slowly moved so thankfully she was only sleeping.

   "I swear I was joking." Antonio said.

   "What if we don't have powers?" I asked.

   "But you do." Rohan said, his facial expression showed that he was confused.

   "I don't." I bluffed. 

   "Then how can you dodge this?" He said as he pulled out a pistol and fired at us.

    Note: Option 1 won so here you go! PS let's just assume that Riley somehow figured out Taylor's name...
