I didn't get much sleep that night. It all seemed like a blur and yes, a blur. Brianna had a pretty good time and she definitely didn't have the day I had. I didn't mention my powers or even Rohan. I didn't want my family to get hurt or placed in harms way. We got home and I ate dinner. I was quiet most of the time. I didn't even realize how long we were there for. 8 hours...
I remember pacing a lot. My mom was worried about me. She thought I was traumatized from what she was calling "the incident." I assured her I was fine multiple times but she was nervous and chewed most of her nails off. So what did I decide? Would I become a superhero? Or just be a normal kid again?
Well I wouldn't be in my moms car on our way back if I decided not to come back. Brianna was in the car doing homework that she should've done last night. She had headphones on and I could hear the faint sound of Panic! At the Disco. She drummed her pencil on her folder and hummed to herself. The trip took about 30 minutes and I was so tired. I really didn't want to go to sleep considering the dream I had the last time I was in this car.
We finally arrived. We all got out of the car, including mom.
"So, Riley. I was thinking about coming in and speaking to Mister Joshie. For the...education plans." She lied.
"Mom you don't need to come in."
"Well I'd just like to meet him."
"NO!" I practically screamed.
She looked as if I'd just crushed her dreams. It's necessary right? I can't let anyone discover what's really going on. She got in the car and slowly drove off. I walked in and headed down to the right like I did yesterday. Went into the bathroom and well waited. Then the light feeling came back and I was in Rohan's Training Room.
Rohan was intently staring at a computer screen, the gang was there including Antonio, Zaina was writing something on a clipboard, same old same old. I sat at the open desk next to Antonio who was still in "metal mode." Rohan got up from the screen and stood in front of all of us.
"Alright, glad to see that you all came back. So here's what we need to do. This man" He said, pointing at a man's face on a dartboard, "Is Rishabh Dave. Billionaire, genius IQ, philanthropist, playboy, and loved worldwide. He currently-
"OOOH OOH I KNOW HIM! HE HAS THAT HUGE TOWER DOWNTOWN!" Eli interrupted.
"Er, yes Eli, that's him. As I was saying, he owns his own company Davecorp, they engineer everything from socks to energy drinks to electronics." Rohan continued.
"Remind me, why I should care about Richman McMoneybags?" Taylor said.
"Because he is planning to kill us." Rohan said.
"Rishabh knows the secret of your powers, there are currently 13 kids worldwide who have powers." Rohan said.
"And Rishabh wants them to himself." Anna continued, probably knowing what Rohan was getting at.
"Yes, Rishabh is tyrant, he illegally makes nuclear weapons and technology like Teleporters. He found the other 7 of you before knew of your existence. That was the point of the bomb. The bomb sent out rays that activated possibly dormant abilities. The chaos and confusion were also a part of his extraction plan as he calls it." Rohan said, getting excited.
"So that's why the bomb hit. And without it, we could've avoided these curses." Antonio asked angrily.
"Not curses, I'd say gifts but yes." Rohan calmly said.
