Donney was a little late to dinner, but Abby didn't mind in the slightest. She was still rushing to get everything together. Austin had kindly set the table for the three of them and answered the door when it was knocked upon.
Abby finally finished everything and began carrying their meal to the table before Austin spotted her. He quickly took the heavy platter of game hens from her.
"Go get the veggies. I'll get the macaroni."
She wanted to protest, but a little kiss to the nose made her huff and follow his orders.
After initial introductions, Austin and Donney became instant friends. They shared similar interests, and Donney admitted to being a fan of Austin's games.
"Babe, I think he likes me," Austin said when Donney gushed about one of his older, poorly made Flash games.
The trio shared laughs, many at Abby's expense, but nonetheless, she was glad that her only friend and her love got along so well.
