Permanent Vacation

Chapter 6

I was snuggled up on the couch in between Michael and Luke. Calum and Ashton were on the floor with the popcorn. Charlotte was on the other side of Michael. 

I got to choose the film so I chose GBF (on Netflix) with great debates. On the couch, Michael and Charlotte were on top of each other (Michael was pretending to sleep) and I was snuggled up to Luke but nobody saw as they were watching the film and it was also dark. His hand was around my shoulder, pulling me closer. There was a knock on the door which I assumed was the pizza.

"I'll get it!" I said, whilst attempting to untangle myself from the heap of blankets spread across us all.

"I'll come with you," Luke informed me and followed behind me as we made our way to the front door.

I payed the pizza guy and thanked him for bringing our beloved pizza (I didn't actually say that) as he handed them over and took the money. I closed the door before I felt a pair of arms wrapped around my waist. I looked down and saw the familiar stubby fingers.

"Luke, what are you doing? You know I've got a boyfriend, right?" I asked.

"Yeah but think of it as a friendly gesture," he reasoned.

"Is my middle finger a friendly enough gesture for you?" I argued sarcastically. I regretted it almost instantly though. He just smiled and helped me carry the pizza in. Once we had all got settled, I was on the floor in between Calum and Ashton, trying to stay as far as way from Luke as possible without being suspicious.

I can't do this. I can't fall for Luke. Everything about him is just so perfect though... Why am I even thinking about this? I'm a crap girlfriend and sister and now I'm going to fall head over heels for a guy I can't even date! I mean, he's my brother's best friend [Muke is alive people!] and if we fall out then he will have to pick one of us. On top of that I've already got a boyfriend! I need to stay away from Luke Robert Hemmings...

Luke's P.O.V.

"Is my middle finger a friendly enough gesture for you?" she smiled sarcastically. I knew she was just joking so I returned the smile and helped her carry the pizza in. Once everybody had gotten their slices, I went to sit down on the sofa as we carried on watching the movie.

I held out my hands to Victoria to sit next to me but she didn't see and sat in between Calum and Ashton. Why was she being so distant? Did she really mean what she said before? Was she confused about her feeling towards me - wait do I like her?No. I can't commit to a relationship. Especially not after what happened with Alicia!

I can't be with her. From now on I will make sure that she knows that we are only friends. I can't block her out because then Michael will suspect something and possibly kill me if he found out. I mean, I'm his best friend; I can't date his sister!
