I let Ryder drag me to the arena, there's a lot more people here so I do my best to stay directly behind him. He's calmed down thankfully.
When we get into the arena, it's very strange. I say strange because I didn't figure it would be a real arena. There's a ring in the middle and bleachers surrounding it, making it look like a bowl. The front row is actual seats, that seem to be reserved because no one is sitting in them. It's already pretty packed, excluding the front row, so I guess the fights are starting soon.
"Stay here," Ryder sits me down on a seat in the front row.
"Why am I here?" I demand.
"Because I have to watch you, and this is where I had to be. So you follow me every where I go, and I go here!" he talks to me like he would a kindergartener.
I stick my tongue out.
He rolls his eyes then walks toward the stage.
"Wait, you're fighting?"
He gestures toward his outfit, I somehow didn't notice before. He's wearing a hoodie, unzipped revealing nice abs, and a pair of boxing shorts.
I nod and he walks away.
I cross my legs and wait. A men dressed nicely steps out onto the ring floor.
"Laddies and gentlemen," I scoff, there's no gentlemen here only creepy men and hot guys trying to fight, "Let's begin the fights! First off, we have Ryder Thomas versus Ethan Mitchell!"
The two guys walk out, glaring at each other. Ryder looks hateful, but definitely not as hateful as he did with Ryan.
I cover my hand with my mouth when I see Ethan's face. That's the guy that kidnapped me the first time. It's kidnapper versus kidnapper!
Ethan takes the first swing, aiming for the left side of Ryder's face. Ryder dodges it with ease and charges for Ethan's middle. The two boys fall to the ground. I think of the few boxing matches I've seen in my life, aren't they not allowed to hold onto each other? I look for the ref, but there isn't one.
I guess this isn't a normal boxing match at all.
Ryder is on top of Ethan, relentlessly throwing punches. Somehow, Ethan throws Ryder off of him and stands up. There's blood covering his face and Ryder's gloves. Ethan spits blood off to the side. The two circle each other, both waiting for the other to make a move. The crowd is cheering. I look around the crowd and make awkward eye contact with Ryder's older brother.
Ryan smirks at me, then stands up. He makes his way to me.
My eyes grow, I look around for a way to get out, but there isn't one I can get to fast enough. I stay glued to my seat, figuring if Ryan tries to kidnap me from my kidnapper, I could scream.
He sits in the seat next to me. "Nice seeing you again."
I glare at him.
"What's wrong with you?"
I don't say anything and keep glaring.
"Aren't you proud of your boy? He's winning you know."
"This thing doesn't care because he's not my boy."
He laughs, "Did I hurt his thing's feelings?"
I stare at the ring, not giving him the satisfaction of a response.
The two fighting are just throwing punches, I don't know how to tell who's winning but Ryder has less blood on his face.
Ryan puts a hand on my knee, making me jump. I look at him and his eyes are forward. I grab his wrist and try to pull his hand off but he holds my knee tight.
