Chapter 4


Nightfall. Again. Rin hated being there, but seeing that she was there for more than five years, certainly changed her in a way. She would never admit this, but, she was actually falling for him, but only a little.

She placed her soft hands on her cheeks, hiding the blush of both embarrassment and anger. What the heck was she doing? Why was she falling for that low life?

Her thoughts were disconnected as someone gently knocked on her door. Turning her head, she gave a puzzled look. Everybody should be asleep by now. Quickly, she tried to run to her bed but was too late. Arashi had opened the door to see that she wasn't in bed.

"Rin.." He started softly. She glared daggers at him. Without a second thought, he walked closer to her and kissed her cheek. She hissed at his sudden move.

"Leave me alone!" She slapped him. Hard, and right on the cheekbone. It stung his face but he wouldn't show it.

'Damn! This girl got some strength!' Arashi mentally noted. His face showing no emotion as he turned around and left her.

After searching all over Japan, there was still no sign of Rin. This made Sesshomaru a little disheartened at the thought of never seeing his Rin again.

'I never should have rescued her....' He thought to himself. He growled as tears started form in his eyes.

What. The. Heck? He wasn't suppose to cry. Heck, he was the most powerful dog demon in the whole dang world.

This thought made him even angrier. Angry that he had made the decision to rescue the stupid girl.

He never should have saved her. But there was a problem; he had fallen for her.

It was now Rin's fifteenth birthday, and she was still at Arashi's stink hole.

Hatred built up inside her as she thought of Sesshomaru not coming to rescue her. Many questions swirled her mind as she thought back approximately seven to eight years ago, when she first laid eyes on the most wonderful demon she ever saw.

~ Flashback ~

Rin walked around the forest just outside the village. Bruises covered her, she was abused by the villagers. She was used to it, seeming that she had lost her family.

Her feelings now grew numb.

She couldn't feel anything.

That is, until she met him. Hey lay there under the tree, his eyes closed. He looked as if he was dead, or perhaps in a deep sleep.

She assumed he was in deep sleep.

She ran back to the village, more specifically at the river bank. After taking a quick look at it, she went to the river to catch some fish for her new friend.

After catching a fish, she cooked it and brought it back to him.

[ A/N: Hurrrr!! I can't remember what she brought him.. So... I'm sorry.. And I seriously don't want to re-watch the whole anime again.. Them feels.. Yeah.. BACK TO THE STORY ]

~End flashback~

Tears had fallen from her eyes. Why? Why did she save him? She knew it'd hurt her, so why?

'I should have never saved him!!' He cold and bitter thought had reached her head. She looked out from the balcony with depressed eyes.

She didn't want to wait any longer...

She'd be with Arashi. Whether she like it or not.
