Chapter 25- Teenagers Are Stinky And Dumb
Emma's Point of View
“I think I want to lose my virginity.” I blurt.
“Really?” Claire asks me with a small laugh over the phone.
I nod and blush a lot. “Yeah. Not tonight though, I have to go to the café tonight, but I don’t know, soon maybe.”
“How long have you and Jace been dating again?”
“Almost a month.” I reply. “Is it too soon to want that, do you think?”
“No,” She giggles. “It’s good timing, I think. Then again, it’s obviously not my place to decide that for you.”
“Right.” I sigh. “But he’s like a really good kisser and I feel like every time we kiss, it just gets more intense each time and I’m pretty sure that we would have done it yesterday if his dad didn’t come home.”
Claire laughs. “You’re adorable, Em.”
“Right.” I grumble. “Well, I gotta go because Jace is picking me up soon.”
“Really?” She wonders as I stand in front of my full body mirror and study my outfit once more. I am wearing a skater dress with a crème lacy top and the bottom part is a really pretty bluish-green color and it is layered and really flowey but also kind of short. Like, it only comes down to my mid-thigh, but it’s still a really cute dress. For some unknown reason, I’d talked myself into wearing heels tonight, but they were really cute. They’re crème heels with little bows on the toes and they’re actually kinda comfortable. I braided my hair down my back and then topped it off with a crème beanie just because it’s been a while since I’ve worn a beanie and I miss it.
“Yeah, we’re both going so why not car pool, right?” I sigh, looking out my window just in time to see Jace’s car coming down the road. “He’s here, so I gotta go now.”
“Alrighty,” She sings happily. “I’ll talk to you later then, girly.” She hangs up so I stuff my phone discreetly into my bra and then grab my guitar before hurrying down the stairs as quickly as I can in these stupid heels that were obviously a stupid decision.
“Have fun tonight.” Caroline chimes from the living room where she’s trying to put Carter to sleep.
“Thanks,” I sigh, hurrying out the door to where Jace’s car is idling on the curb. Before getting in the car, I open the back seat and carefully place my guitar in the back and then get seated in the front seat beside my lovely boyfriend.
“Hey,” He chirps with a small smile on his face.
I grin at him and then lean over the console in between us and we share a quick kiss. “Hello,” I breathe as Jace drives away from my house and we make our way towards Crawson, to The Seaside Café.
“You look really nice tonight.” He comments, making me blush.
“You say that every Friday.” I point out.
Jace laughs. “It’s true every Friday. It’s true every day, actually, I just don’t say it every day.” He defends.
“You’re goofy.” I giggle softly, taking his right hand in mine so that he’s driving with his left. “And you smell good.”
“That makes you a hypocrite.” Jace accuses me jokingly. “Because you tell me that a lot too.”
“Yeah, but I’m telling you that because it’s true, not because I think it’s going to make you blush.” I defend as he starts running his thumb back and forth against the back of my hand.
