'Friends' - Chapter 3

"I don't think you want to do that." 'Loo' said in an almost demanding voice. Grabbing my wrist. This is the first time I heard him speak I was sure surprised at how beautiful his voice was even when he was being a dick.

"Oh, I-I'm sorry I don't know what came over me." I said in desperation, I knew why and I wanted to again I felt drawn to him, like I knew him. But I was strong enough to fight what were probably just sexual urges. "Ok, so I think you should leave now." I tried not to act like a robot hiding her feelings.

"What just because I didn't want to make out with a girl whose taken?!" He exclaimed louder than I would have liked.

"No because it's late and I'm going to sleep. And for the record I'm not a cheater I'm not going out with anyone!" I was raising my voice more too at this rate we'd wake up Mai.

"So you're not dating that Joshie kid?" He said as if he realised he was overreacting.

"No I'm single and his name is..." I was stopped as 'Loo' pulled me close to his body, I could feel his body heat it was intoxicating, "Josh... Um, Loo what are you doing?" I said quieter than I realised. I could smell him it was amazing his cologne smelt like vanilla it was faint worthy.

I don't know how but I saw what he was planning on doing before he did it. "This is a bad idea... You're with Mai... Stop!" I pushed away just in time.

'Loo' let go roughly, "Fine and for the record I'm not with Mai, we only made out." He retorted.

"Well glad to know what kisses mean to you, and an hour of intensely kissing at that!" I was getting annoyed. How could he not like Mai, is making out for an hour nothing to him, why is he such a jerk and why don't I want him to leave. "Please. Leave." I asked peacefully.

He grabbed his coat on the way out and slammed the door. A minute later Mai came down the stairs, "Sil where'd everyone go?" obviously really worried.

"I told them to go home so their parents wouldn't worry." I smiled honestly, when Mai acted like a sleepy little child I would always feel so happy because it would remind me of our childhood together.

"Oh, ok I'm going back to sleep, you should sleep too." She said as she ascended the stairs. I nodded and joined her. I was glad I didn't have one of 'those' dreams again.

You would think after a whole night of drinking till you passed out that you would have a major hang over but Mai being who she is got up refreshed and energized. I didn't drink much with was the best decision ever, so I only had a little headache.

"So today we're going shopping and you can't say no!" She said since she knew I needed new clothes. She smiled grabbed my 'emergency' credit card from my foster mum, and we left for the mall.

I was never one of those girls who could go all out and spend hundreds of dollars for clothes. My clothes are cheap and practical. We spent the first hour of shopping getting normal clothes for everyday wear, then we got underwear and bras.

Mai got a drop dead gorgeous white dress that would cling to her body in all the right ways. She convinced me to get a dress, I chose a beautiful little black laced dress it made me so happy to even look at. All in all I had my clothes now so the day was a success. We walked around talking about school and all the assignments we had.

Mai pulled me into the adorable cafe we always go to its called 'True Intensions'. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and a ham & cheese croissant while Mai ordered a white chocolate latte and a bagel,

"So you still hate coffee, ha?" she said being the all-knowing Mai. I've always hated the taste, as everyone was growing into it I hated it even more. Though it's not a bad thing though caffeine isn't good for your body so that's a plus for me.

A horrible familiar squealing voice calls, "OMG Maiii, I haven't seen you in, like, forever!"

I rolled my eyes I hated Katy with a y as she would say constantly, "What are you talking about you say her at school yesterday." She turned and gave me the death stare I know all too well. I gave a look at Mai and she just smiled, god she was clueless sometimes.

"So you guys are shopping, are you attempting to get her actual clothes." she said laughing I was so close to punching her little pale face.

She had the need to flick her bleach blonde hair like it was some kind of death threat to someone. Katy flicked the hair in my face I could smell smoke in her hair, probably from one of her various boyfriends. It seems they get older and older each time ranging from 17 - 45 she even 'dated' some of our teachers at school. All they ever did was make out and have sex.

"I'll see you at school on Monday Mai and Silvia." She knew I hated my name so she would use it with a condescending voice. She walked away with her group of like 8 people leaving only the sound of her heels behind.

"Ugh I hate her so much, I could just. Ugh!" I said ready to chase after her and knock her out cold.

"She isn't so bad she can be nice... Ok so maybe just to people like her." It was obvious to both of us that neither of us believed that.

"I can never understand how you can have 'friends' like that?" I said meaner than needed, "Why can't you get some real friends?!"

"I'm not like you I don't have great friends sure but they're not so bad and I have you don't I?!" She said louder than I was. She sighed, "I'm ok you know I like having parties and having more 'real' friends means more problems to deal with so I won't have time for you anymore." she said trying to convince me. I ended up dropping it, we walked to her house, "Ok see you at school!" I got my stuff then went home.

I'm trying to make each chapter of the story close to 1000 words. I always go over or under, if there's ever any short ones I'll tell you. Love Ya.
