The Angel took Lucinda's hand and they flew away from the neighborhood. Lucinda looked at the angel. "What do we do now?" She asked The Angel. "We visit their families." The Angel told her. "How do we find out where their families are?" Lucinda asks him. "Don't worry, i think i know where everyone is." He told her. The Angel and Lucinda continued to soar through the sky until the Angel began to slow down.
The Angel stopped and landed on the ground next to a small white house. The Angel kept a hold on Lucinda's hand and they walked forward to the house. "This is the house of Marisola Pather." The Angel told her. "Who's that?" She asked. "Remember the woman that was the box?" The Angel asked. Although Lucinda didn't remember much of the person from the box she still answered his question.
"Yes, i do." She told the angel. "Well this is the house of her younger sister, her name was Penelope Pather." The Angel told her. The Angel and Lucinda stopped walking once they reached a window. "Marisola has been searching for her sister for years, she's starting to realize what's going on but she continues to stay in denial." The Angel tells her. "She knew what her sister was going through before she disappeared." Lucinda guessed. "Exactly, It was not much of a surprise to anyone that she might become poor." The Angel replied.
"But yet no one tried to help her." Lucinda said sadly. "Well, Marisola did wanted to help her sister. She just couldn't afford to, she had problems herself." The Angel told Lucinda. "Now that she can help her sister, she still can't seem to find her. She's denying the fact that her sister might be poor and living on the streets. She knows where her sister is but she doesn't know how to confront her." Lucinda stated.
"That's very true." The Angel told Lucinda. Lucinda looked into the window of Marisola's home. A young woman with beautiful brown curly hair sat on her couch with her head thrown in hands. "It looks like she's given up." Lucinda pointed out. "It may seem that way, bit she has not given yet." The Angel told her.
"What type of sign are we going to leave her." Lucinda asked the Angel. "A picture." The Angel told her. The Angel pointed to a photo on a nightstand. "That's the photo of the lady." Lucinda realized. "Put your hand up to the window." The Angel told her.
Lucinda looked at The Angel. The Angel seemed to get older the more she looked at him. "Why?" She asked him. "Just wait and see." He told her. Lucinda put her hand up to the window.
"Now, concentrate." The Angel said softly. Lucinda concentrated and the picture on the nightstand moved and fell at Marisola's feet. Marisola removed her hands from her face and looked down at her feet. Lucinda moved her hand away from the window. "How." She asked the Angel.
"As you get used to being a spirit, your abilities began to develop." The Angel tells her. Marisola picked up the picture and looked at it. Then a sudden realization hit Marisola.
"What do we do now?" She asked the Angel. "We wait, but I have a feeling we won't be waiting for too long." The Angel told her. She looked at the Angel and a question came to her mind. "Have you always been a child?" She asked him. "No, Lucinda. This isn't my true form." He admitted.
"So you're not a child at all then." Lucinda said sadly. "I'm sorry if I mislead you Lucinda." The Angel told her. "It's alright, it's still nice to know that I'm not alone." Lucinda told him. The floor underneath Lucinda started to glow brightly.
"What does the glowing mean?" Lucinda asked The Angel. "It means you're a step closer to getting your wings and if it glows brightly it means that your strength is waning." The Angel told her. "What about my tear?" She asked him. "A tear symbolizes many emotions. Pain, Love, Fear, happiness, a tear can mean anything." The Angel started.
"Your's symbolized the heartbreak and sadness you felt for those people. You genuinely did care about them. I promise you, you will see your family again." The Angel finished. Lucinda stared at the Angel. "You thought I forgot about that." The Angel stated.
"I honestly did." Lucinda admitted. Lucinda was starting to get tired and a little bit unbalanced. "Are you okay." The Angel asked her. "Yeah, it's just that I'm little tired." She told him. Lucinda's eyes closed and she fell, bit The Angel caught her in his arm.
The Angel hadn't thought about it until now. Lucinda had an equal resemblance to his own little sister.
The Angel put the thought aside and carried Lucinda away from Marisola's home while she slept peacefully in his arms.
