Lucinda had suddenly became engulfed in a bright white light. She found herself back her old home. She spotted The Angel sitting on the couch. He looked distraught, worried, and even a little bit confused. He was so absorbed in his own thoughts that he was oblivious to the fact that Lucinda had returned.

She took a light step forward and and touched his arm to get his attention.
He looked up from the ground.
He looked at Lucinda with an expression of disbelief.
Was it really her? He wanted to ask.
Where had she been?

A wide-eyed smile appeared on his face. Without as much of a warning, the Angel took Lucinda in his arms and gently embraced her. Lucinda hesitated for a moment. Then she hugged him back.
"I was worried." He tells her.

"It's okay, I'm okay." She tells the Angel. He released her from his embrace. Lucinda could already tell that the Angel wanted to know what happened. "Where did you go?" He asked her. She stood there in silence.
"To a distance memory." Lucinda found herself staring into the void.

"I saw my mother and father. I met my mother's spirit." She tells him.
The Angel could easily hear the sadness in Lucinda's voice.
Lucinda's contour began to fade in and out. Causing her to appear blue.

"What's happening?" She asked him.
"You're have way through. That means it's officially almost time for you to go." The Angel tells her.
"What his there left for me to do?" Lucinda asked aloud. The Angel took a second to think.

"Who's the only person you haven't made amends with?" The Angel asked her. Lucinda went over all the people she either helped or said goodbye to.
"My father." She whispered softly.
"My father is the only person left." She repeated loudly. Next thing Lucinda knew, a yellow light had began to shine down upon her.

She looked at the Angel and reassured everything was okay. She knew where she was going and she didn't feel like she was losing herself at all. Lucinda felt as is she was going home and about to get a new start. The light faded around her and Lucinda found herself standing in a dark and murky field. As much as s she wanted to deny it, she couldn't.

Lucinda knew exactly where she was.
Her deceased father's grave. Although her parents were the closest people to her, she didn't remember anything there was about them. Lucinda also had know idea how they died, not even the day. She felt guilty for not knowing, but yet again she couldn't keep blaming herself.

Especially for something she had no control of. The thickness of fog covered the sky. It was difficult for her to see. Lucinda couldn't didn't dare to move, fearing that she might stumble upon something she didn't want to see. She stood and stood, unable to move. She stood there until a soft touch brushed against her hand.

"Follow my voice." The mysterious person whispered. Lucinda couldn't help but think the voice was owned by her mother. The voice did sound vaguely familiar, it had to be her.
The soft voice began to whistle and Lucinda followed it through the thick fog. It was as if her ears had taken over, and where now her eyes.

They guided her through the field with ease. Nothing went wrong, it was if she was walking normally and not through fog. When the voice stopped, so did Lucinda. "My daughter." She had heard a deep voice say.
It was her father.

She stood there and waited. The fog began to clear out of the way. Her father emerged from the thickness of the fog. His eyes just as green as her mother and a smile thar seemed to be stolen from her mom. It seemed as if her parents had mimicked each other's movements and actions.

Lucinda's father outstretched his hand, reaching out for her. Lucinda moved forward and took her hand in his. "You're time is almost up, it's time that we began your final journey." Her father told her. The a smile had appeared, on the both of their faces.

"I have missed you my child." He told her. "I'm sorry for forgetting about you and mom, I do not have a good recall of the past." She replied.
"It's okay, darling. It is better to look forward towards the future than to dwell on the past." He reassured her.
The light had reappeared and shined down on the both of them.

Lucinda had tighten her grasp on her father's hand before she finally asked
"Where are we going?" Her father looked directly into her eyes.
"We're going home." He as answered.
Lucinda had almost thought she heard him wrong. Her time wasn't up but yet she was still going home?
Did he mean her a actual home or the home where her precious memories are stored?

Lucinda couldn't ponder on the thought. She would have to just wait and see. "Home." What pleasant and peaceful word. Lucinda never knew how much she yearned for the warmth familiarity of having a home.
She hadn't had a real home in a while and now that she might be getting it, the feeling was surreal.
