❝She should not have worn that shirt today, her fat was practically spilling out!❞

⠀⠀Don't let them get to you.

⠀⠀How could they though? Say those things, as if they didn't have their own insecurities? And they did. All of them. They had their own insecurities and yet they decided that hers were much more fun to pick at.

⠀⠀But why? Why unconsciously say something demeaning about someone's flaws if you know its not something that they can change in three seconds? Where's the good in that?

⠀⠀With every abhorrent comment that was directed at her since elementary school running through her mind 24/7 she was scared to do anything. She was scared to do anything that could target her. She had to think carefully about what she wore. She had to think carefully about what she ate at lunch. She had to think carefully about how much she ate at lunch.

⠀⠀Gym. Oh god, gym was the worst. She was slower than the rest of her piers. So much slower that they threw angry words at her because she was always the last one to finish running the track. She held them back. She said sorry every single time. They didn't care.

⠀⠀Presenting projects was hell. Standing up in front of the class in full view, that really killed her. They looked down on her, she could feel it. Hear it too. Their whispers. They weren't too well at keeping secrets.

⠀⠀Making friends, that was a nightmare. She had none. She didn't want any. All she would do is compare herself to them. Try to be like them. She didn't want to fall down that path.

⠀⠀She hated it though. Being alone. Fighting against her body all alone. No one caring about how she felt. No one sticking up for her.

⠀⠀She hated it all.
