When I get home, I ask mum if I can go over Jemma's house again. She says yes. "You two have been hanging out a lot lately," she says to me. I am sweating. "Yep," I say. My brother comes in. "You going over Jemma's house again?" He asks me. "Yep," I give the same reply. "I got a girlfriend," he says. "What?!" I reply. "I'm so happy for you," I say. I honestly am. I hope Jemma likes me as much as I like her. I smile at the thought of us dating.
*Timeskip To Jemma's House* Jemma's POV
"Dan's here!" Mum calls up to me. I am so nervous. I decided to tell him that I like him. I wonder what he will think. What will he say? I run downstairs and am greeted by Dan's smiling face. "You brought your gameboy?" I ask. "You bet," he answers. I am so nervous. I walk him upstairs. When am I going to tell him? I have to do it soon, I can't wait. We play a few rounds of Mario Kart, and I figure that now is the time.
Dan's POV
"I have something to tell you," she says. Uh-oh. She looks directly into my eyes. I smile. "Dan," she says, "I don't know the best way to say this." I tense up. "I like you. Not like as in a friend but I like like you," she says, "And I want to be more then just friends." It takes me a minute to process what she just said. Did she just say that she wanted to be my girlfriend? I start to sweat, and feel myself getting more nervous with each passing second. I look at her. "Jem... I... I don't know what to say." I'm trembling. "Don't worry, it's ok if you say no," she says. "Wouldn't you be cheating on Nate if you started dating me?" I ask. "It's fine, I hate him anyways," she replies. I still don't know what to say. I am flustered. I wrap my arms around her neck, and lean in. She smiles at me, and I kiss her. Her lips taste sweet like strawberries. We push away. "So it's a yes then?" She asks. "Yes," I feel my face turning red, and she blushes. She puts her head on my chest, and grabs her gameboy. She loads up Mario Kart, and we get into another game. "So, your going to dump Nate, right, now that we're dating," I say. "Obviously," she replies, "why wouldn't I. I love you WAY more than him." I smile and blush.
