Part 2

Night had spread over London and the sky had turned to the deepest indigo the pair had ever seen. Time had gone so quickly and Katherine had had one of the best days of her life. Her and Dan walked home still holding hands as they had done most of the day, discussing how brilliant the concert was. As they reached Katherine’s block of flats they stopped, there was an awkward moment of silence as they gazed into each other’s eyes. Dan placed one hand on Katherine’s waist and leaned in but Katherine panicked and quickly looked down into her bag for keys, meanwhile head butting Dan straight in the nose.

“Oh god I’m so sorry!” Katherine exclaimed, “Oh shit it’s bleeding, come upstairs I’ll get some ice or something.”

Katherine opened the front door and led Dan into the living room where her roommate Alisha was vlogging. “Lisha, could you possibly help me with this nose please?” Katherine said, as if this was normal. Dan was stood behind her with one hand holding onto his nose, with the other, he sort of waved to Alisha.

“Yeah sure, are you alright?” she asked looking at them both confused.

“There was an accidental head butting incident and I may have broken danisnotonfire’s nose.” Katherine said. Alisha just shook her head before leaving the room and returning with a tea towel full of ice.

Alisha sorted out Dan’s nose (they discovered it wasn’t broken) and offered him a hot beverage. Katherine just kept apologizing and not knowing what to say. They looked at the clock and it was one in the morning.

“I best be going home now it’s quite late.” Dan said.

“Okay, again I’m really sorry and thank you for such a fantastic day.” Katherine responded in an ashamed and apologetic way. Alisha showed him out and then sat down on the sofa next a very embarrassed Katherine. “Well, that could have been worse.” Alisha consoled her flat mate.

“The only way it could have been worse is if I had killed him.” Katherine bellowed; she slumped forward her hand hitting her head.

“I think you should go to sleep and then you can tell me everything in the morning.” Alisha insisted sympathetically patting Katherine on the back. Katherine sludged off into her room and closed the door with a deep sigh.
