It had been one week since their first date and both Katherine and Dan were eager to meet again. That weekend was Alisha’s 21st birthday, as always she was going to be throwing a massive party for all her friends. Alisha’s parties were always brilliant, all her youtube friends would be there along with Jenna’s band mates from Tonight Alive and other bands she was friends with like Pierce the Veil and You Me At Six. Planning it was very stressful but it was worth it. Alisha was sat in the lounge on her laptop, trying to order the balloons. Katherine slid into the room and sat down next Alisha on the sofa, placing a cup of tea on the table.

“I made you a cup of tea.” Katherine said with a smile.

“What do you want?” Alisha asked blankly without looking up from her computer.

“Can a girl not make her flat mate a cup of tea without being accused of bribery? What is this world coming to?” Katherine replied sounding hurt. Alisha looked at her suspiciously.

“But seriously what is it?” Alisha asked her. Katherine sighed and gave in.

“Well you know it’s your party this weekend, I wondered if you would invite Dan and Phil. It’s just Dan and I have been texting loads recently and I really like him but I just don’t know how to ask him out and I don’t have any good ideas for a date. You’re party will be a great opportunity to hang out with him.” Katherine pleaded, looking at Alisha with puppy dog eyes.

“No.” Alisha said straight away before going back to her laptop.

“What, you didn’t even consider it. I thought you like Dan and Phil.” Katherine sighed like a child being refused sweets.

“I do like Dan and Phil but I’ve already finished organising the guest list and it’s going to take a lot of effort to sort it out and I physically can’t fit anyone else in the venue.”

“Oh, please, can’t you just un-invite someone? What about Cherry Wallis!?” Katherine winged.

“NO! The guest list stays as it is, find some other time to go on a date with llama hat boy.” Alisha bitched back and stormed out the room taking her laptop with her. Katherine slumped back into the sofa and sighed. 

The next day...

Things in the flat had been tense; Alisha was really stressed about the party and Katherine was trying to keep out of her way. Katherine was sat at her apple mac editing her latest video. There was a knock at the door. Alisha was stood in the door with a plate of cookies.

“I come in peace.” She said putting her free hand in the air surrendering. Katherine spun round in her chair and kicked the door open with her foot letting Alisha in. Alisha put down the plate of chocolate chip biscuits on Katherine’s desk.

“I’m sorry about yesterday; I’m letting the party planning get to me a bit. But luck is in your favour. BriBry and Candice can’t make my party so if Dan and Phil are still free they can...” Alisha was cut off by Katherine throwing herself at Alisha and hugging her.

“Thank you thank you thank you.” She squealed before running into the kitchen to call the Phan household.

The day of the party...

It was half past eight and people were starting to arrive,*pictures of outfits are at the side and I had too much fun making them* Alisha was wearing a red fitted dress with black heels and gold rings, earrings and bracelets. Her and Jenna looked adorable together; Jenna was wearing a cream blouse with black skinny jeans, black suspenders and white doc martins. Katherine walked in looking around. There weren’t many people she knew there yet the only people there were Alisha’s cousins and people Katherine didn’t really know. She said hi to a couple of people. She stood by the bar, waiting as more and more people flooded in.

Dan and Phil arrived at the party venue, Alisha had rented out this awesome club and there was a queue of guests waiting to go in. As they got closer to the door Dan’s excitement built up. He’d been really looking forward to seeing Katherine since she called him. They made their way in and said hello to Alisha and gave her a card and present. Dan made polite small talk but only had one thing in mind. Alisha could see him looking around. She stood on her tiptoes and talked into Dan’s ear.

“She was by the bar, she looks incredible.” She said before standing back and smiling. Dan smiled and immediately went to find Katherine.

The club had filled up considerably and almost everyone Alisha knew was there. Dan pushed through crowds of people, looking around everywhere for Katherine. Then he saw a girl stood by the bar. She was leant against the wall staring at the ground. She wore a gorgeous green dress with lace along the bottom. Both her wrists were piled high with different bracelets and bangles and her dark purple hair was wavy around her face. A smile spread across Dan’s face when he saw her. Katherine looked up and their eyes met across the room.
