Recap:

I stood up from the chair I had been sitting on. I walked up to the front door and inhaled. I opened the door and walkes in. Inside was beautiful and the decor was modern. The room was empty but you could hear noise and laughter coming out from another part of the house.

I walked to the direction of the voices and was shocked to see a huge room big enough to be a hall, full of werewolves eating and laughing together.

They all paused when I walked in and stared at me. I held my head high and scanned the room for Blue. I found her sitting beside the beta and my mate sat at the head of the table.

She waved me over and I gave her a weary smile before moving over to sit beside her. A certain person's eyes was on me at all times. I was now in between Ella and a female pack member.

"Are you alright?" She asked and I gave her a weak smile. I felt slightly uncomfortable in the midst of the Elite pack.

Everyone returned to their meal and the talking began. Halfway through our meal, a deep voice cleared their throat and every wolf paused.

"Listen. Everyone, today we got attacked and lost a few of us while others injured," I shift uncomfortably on my seat. The atmosphere became dull and sad at his words. I knew the feeling.

"As we lost some pack members, we also gained two more. Avery Hasting, Alpha Hastings's daughter and Ella Collins, his gamma's daughter. Both from the Blue Pool pack." He finished then slightly raised his glass up as a toast.

I was aware that he didn't acknowledge me as his mate. I was glad he didn't but that didn't stop the hurt feeling from invading my chest.

The stupid mate bond was getting to me.

3. The Welcoming

Everyone raised up their glasses in the air in return before drinking what ever they had in their cup.

I suddenly lost my appetite and turned to Blue seeing her playing with her food.

"Not hungry?" I ask softly and she nods.

"Yeah." She replies.

A minute later I felt her hand touch my arm.

"Do you think I made the right choice staying here?" She asks and I could see worry in her eyes.

"At this point, I don't think there is a right choice." I reply and she sighs.

Dinner ended in no time and everyone left to table to continue with their tasks.

I sat back feeling utterly uncomfortable and thought about home. My pack should have reached almost halfway of their journey.

"It's getting late, you should get some rest. Come I'll show you where you sleep." It was Blue's mate who spoke and she hesitantly got up.

"You too Luna." He said and I froze.

Luna. It never did occur to me that I was now a Luna. But mainly the Luna of The Elite pack.

"Avery is fine." I say to him not yet comfortable with the title.

He bowled his head in understanding and respect before slipping his arm round Blue's waist.

"If that's what you want, Luna." And again I cringed at the title.

"Yes." I reply and he clears his throat.

"It seems Lucca is busy, I'll show you were you can rest tonight." He says and I turn to Blue wondering who Lucca was.

"Your mate, the Alpha." She mouthed to me.
