Recap:

It was getting dark quickly and I wondered where I was going to crash for the night. My arms wrap themselves on my stomach as it growled loudly and I tapped my tongue in between my mouth, realising that I was hungry. I thought about going into the forest to hunt an animal down but I don't want to risk Lucca finding me. I scolded myself for leaving the bag when I was running from him. I had packed some water and snacks in it. Now I have to figure out what to eat before I passed out.

I stared at the wiped out looking restaurant and contemplated on going inside. I inspected my clothes and ignored the ache in my stomach. If I could not afford to buy a nice dinner, hopefully the owner would let me sleep on their tables for the night or maybe I can persuade then to give me a job. The wooden floor creaked when I walked on it. I pushed the door open just as a horrible tune played when I opened the door wider. No wonder the place looked dead, I thought then walked in.

Chapter 7

"Who is there?" I find myself saying. It was pitch dark and I could not see a single thing. I raise my arms up and walk forward. The hairs on my skin stand up just as I recognise another presence with me. I gulped and stopped moving. My voice got stuck in my throat when I see something ahead of me. What ever it was, was moving towards me and my body goes numb. I could not get control over my body to move away.

I see a silhouette in the darkness. It walked towards me and I try to close my eyes but could not. I could feel sweat beads form on my forehead. The closer it got, the more I realise that I was not just sweating out of fear but heat was radiating from who ever it was. I could only feel pain and pain alone. Whoever it was, was now in front of me. My heart was beating fast and I feel myself shaking.

Its breath hit my face harshly and I don't know how or maybe it was only my mind but the person or thing in front of me raised his hand and touched my right cheek. It felt cold, too cold that I imagined myself freezing up into a statue. I see a smile on its face and it was no where friendly. It's eyes were pitch black just like everything around me. It stared at me for a second more before it pushes me backwards. I feel myself falling and unable to breathe then that is when my eyes closes and I drift away from consciousness.

"Avery." I heard a voice and then suddenly air is suck back into my lungs. I sat up out of breath and my hands goes immediately to my chest. I look around to see myself sitting in front of a castle. I glanced down at myself realising that I was wearing a whole different outfit. I was barefoot but wearing a white dress. My hair fell on my shoulders and it wasn't it's usual brown color but completely black.

"Avery." A voice whispered in my ear and fear creeped in to me. I turned to my side only to see nothing. My heart beats tightly against my chest.

What is happening?

"Avery." The voice said again but sounded more urgent.

"Avery."

I am going crazy.

"Avery."

"Avery."

"Avery." The voice sounding darker.

"Avery!" And that when a scream erupts from my mouth. A fist flies towards me and hits me in the face knocking my body to the ground then I find myself going to a deep sleep, again.

I woke up to find myself sitting in a booth at the back of the restaurant. I panicked and wondered where I was before I realised I had slept here.
