This chapter is not really edited. Sorry for any errors ahead. I was just eager to get it done.
Also, happy new year!! Hopefully 2017 would be better than 2016.
Recap:
I get up and walk towards the window staring into the dark night. The stars are out and so is the moon. I say a quick pray, praying that I would never loose my mate because of the beast in me.
I continued to stare outside when I noticed a figure running. I stay put watching as one of my rebellious pack member attempt to escape.
They are all aware that the patrols are highly alert at night and the borders are guarded. It is almost impossible to run away from this pack. They would be certainly punished tomorrow. I continued watching slightly amused.
A frown appears on my face as I recognized the red bag the unknown person was carrying. It was the exact type I got for Marco as a gift last year.
An inhuman growl leaves my throat as I recognize the person. I feel my claws coming out and my wolf fighting for control as we watch our mate try to run away from us.
"Mate!" I said angrily, my hard fist breaking the glass of the window.
6. Hidden Places
Avery's POV
Crap.
I cracked my brain to recall the path my pack and I took earlier when we attempted to invade my mate's pack.
Depending on my instinct, I wandered through the forest and stopped at a tree to shift into my wolf.I pulled off the bag from my shoulders and let out my breath that I didn't know I was holding. Running away from this pack seemed easier than I thought or probably just for now. I leaned on the tree behind me for a second before striping off every article of clothing I had on and stuffed them into the bag.
Taking one last look around the area, I shifted into my wolf and my senses became more better and stronger.
My wolf gained more control over us since we were not in human form.'Are you sure this is the right thing to do?' She said in my head for the first time since our pack left us and I nod my wolf head in reply.
'I'm not sure. But we can't stay here against our will anymore. Who knows? Next time he goes crazy he could hurt us.' I replied and she whimpers out not saying anything.
I took the silence that she agrees with me. We bent down and put the bag's handle in our mouth before dashing away.
'Where are we going to go?' My wolf asks as we move through the forest. I was just about to reply her when chills ran down my spine as we heard the growl of a familiar wolf.
