2. Meeting The Mate

Recap:

She saved him. She blocked him from my mate and got wounded in return.

"Mom. Mom. Open your eyes." Ari weeped at my side as dad begged her to wake up.

I could still feel her heart beat but it was slow and weak. She is still alive and will heal.

Everything suddenly became red as I stared at my mom's body with her blood on the floor. My wolf became blood thirsty for the one who caused this, the one who caused all our suffering- My Mate.

I turned to him seeing him already looking at me with no emotion. He is really heartless, no sympathy at what he had just done.

I let out a threatening growl before pouncing at him with speed in the air shifting in mid process.

2.  Meeting The Mate.

I wanted to hurt him badly just as my mother was hurt. He has to pay.

I felt sparks spread from my neck to my body as my mate grabbed me. He tightened his hands not enough to kill me but choke me.

"Avery!" I hear my sister's voice.

I tried to ignore the sparks as I shivered under his touch. I was thrashing and growling in his hold. He released his hold from my neck only to grip both arms and pulled them behind me.

"What do you think you are doing, mate?" He hissed in my ear.

I shuddered at his voice but still refrain to be weak.

"You disgust me, your no mate of mine. How dare you? Don't you have a soul?! Look at what you've done-"

"Enough!" He used his Alpha tone. He could use it on anyone except me. I am his other half and also not a member of his pack.

"You will show me respect." He commanded.

"You are not my Alpha." I spat out.

"Get away from my daughter." Dad shouted at him and my mate barred his teeth at him in return.

His grip was stong and I had to remind myself that I don't only have Alpha blood in me but a warrior's blood.

With my strength I swiftly move my right leg backwards and hit him in the groin. He was quick enough to block the attack but also loosened his grip. I used that to my advantage and slipped away from him.

I kept some distance away from him, my eyes on his form. He eyes glowed purely black as he stared at me.

"Alpha Grayson, what are you and your pack doing on my grounds?" He gritted out.

"Revenge." I hear James' voice and snarls follows.

"And you think you can start a war by stepping into my territory and attacking my pack. Your all are blinded by grieve and loss. You all will end your lives here, by my hands." He threatened and his pack started shifting.

"We are prepared to fight to our very last breathe." I reply stepping forward.

I was about to shift when I heard a familiar voice.

"Dad." I turn and gasp seeing Ari face red as she was held by her neck, her legs off the ground. She was clawing at the person's hands.

"Let her go!" I commanded as I ran to my sister but was restrained. A pair of arms slipped round my waist and by the body heat I am receiving I know it's my mate.
