"So bud what did I miss?" I ask Alex whilst Ardeth, Rick and Evie have a "grown up" conversation. "Well.... Mum started to write books about Imhotep and all that happened, Jonathan left soon after you did." He frowns, I sigh lifting his head up. " Alex... I" The words caught in my throat, 'I can tell him I didn't mean to leave or I'd be lying to his face' I thought. "And you didn't even invite us to your wedding, I was beginning to think you had forgotten about us or didn't care about me anymore." A lone tear runs down his face, I wipe it away and embrace him. "Alex don't you ever think that! I'll never forget you all nor would I ever hate you. I just didn't want to interfere, I mean danger is attracted to me, gosh I could have been killed on my wedding day." I pull back and look him in the eye, "I wanted to keep you all safe!" I pull him back into a hug.
We stay like that for a while, enjoying each others company, "If you ever need me don't hesitate to get in touch. أود أن تفعل أي شيء لعائلتي" Soon Alex pulls back and hugs me once more before saying "Thanks Auntie Sky, I'm going to my room." I hear the door open and Alex leave, but instead of the door closing someone else walks in. "He missed you, you know?" Rick's voice cut through the silence that had descended upon the room. "He thought I hated him." I reply sadly, remembering the look on his face; "he thought I had abandoned you all." Rick walks over to me and offers me his hand, after taking it he pulls me up into a hug. "He's a kid. It seems like everyone is against you at that age. Though I don't suppose him getting kidnapped by an undead mummy helped much." I manage a slight laugh.
"So I heard about your wedding... and to think you didn't invite me to the party." Rick says smirking. I pull back shaking my head slightly whilst laughing. "So that was the 'GROWN UP' conversation I wasn't allowed to be in!!!!" I feign being angry and stomp my foot. "Oh stop that Skylar. Honestly you look like Alex when he's in trouble." Evie jokes from the door, causing Rick and her to start to laugh, I have to fight of a smile. "I missed this."
