Oh The Irony

Chapter Four

The next morning as we were getting on the plane I felt sad that we were leaving.

“Ready to go home and see everyone?” my mom asked once we were settled in our seats and the plane was gliding through the air.

“Yeah, I’m going to miss Bennett though.” I said

“He is such a sweet boy,” my mom laughed

“Yeah, he is,” I agreed. The plane ride didn’t take very long thankfully and soon we were touching down in Millwood Washington.

“Oh my God Sophi, I missed you so much!” A familiar voice shouted.

I sprinted towards a dark haired girl “Tilly! I missed you too!” I cried. We embraced joyfully.

“Did you get Arthur’s texts?” she asked excitedly once we were done squealing with joy.

“No, one second,” I frowned, pulling out my phone and turning it on. It turned out Arthur wasn’t the only one who had texted me.

Bennett: Hey, I’m going to miss you! Call me tomorrow! Oh and I’m proud of you for doing that yesterday! :)

Arthur: Hey! Wanna hang out tomorrow? I know you just got back and all but I legit miss you. If you wanted we could even consider it our first date… :)

Jess: Hey! Remember to text me when you get back. Say hi to Matilda for me!

Ms. Tills: Hey babe! Miss ya! Can’t wait to see ya! Arthur told me he finally asked you out… Even if it was over a message…

I smiled down at my phone.

“You saw Jess?” Matilda asked as we started walking towards the car.

“Yeah, my friend Bennett took me after I told him about her.” I explained patiently.

“Who’s Bennett?” Matilda questioned

“He’s my technical neighbor,” I told her

“He’s hot huh?” she inquired.

I laughed “I guess, he’s a typical California boy.” I said.

“Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a hot body?” she guessed.

“Yep, Jet Ski, big house, tall, and shockingly perfect.” I laughed

“Figured, you always meet the hot ones.” She whined.

“Well if you ever came to California with me you might meet some too!” I retorted
