Samantha's POV
I groaned as I opened my eyes. I was home, in bed. My head pounded like someone stomping up the stairs."Hey..." A voice whispered. I slowly turned my head to see Cameron sitting beside me. He had cleaned his face, all that remained a long scratch across his cheek.
"H-hey." I said, sitting up. Big mistake. The world turned dizzy, colours spiralling into each other.
"Here." Cameron said, picking up some pills and water. I thanked him, swallowing down the pills.
I sighed in relief as the world stilled, Cameron's face coming into focus. "W-what happened?" I asked. "You fainted. Either from anxiety, fear, stress, the sight of blood, we don't know." Cameron said, holding my hand.
I nodded as my memory slowly started to come back. The image replayed in my mind as I felt Cameron's thumb trace my knuckles.
"So, what about the game? What are they saying?" I asked, looking at Cameron. "We won, the other team got kicked out of the tournament. Our next game's not till a few days, so everyone should be fine." Cameron said.
I nodded, feeling relief. "But, it's going viral." He held out his phone, showing a video on YouTube of the fight. I saw that they recorded me running to the field to help Cameron. The video ended when security asked them to vacate the area.
I sighed. "Today was a mess." Cameron nodded. "Yeah, it'll be better tomorrow though." I looked up at him. "I hope you're right."
Shawn's POV (what's this? ;) )
I was pacing across the floor, Grace sitting behind me on the sofa. "Would you stop? You're going to burn a hole in the ground if you do that any longer." Grace said, looking at me.
I sighed, sitting next to her. "I'm just worried about her." I confessed. "She's fine. She just fainted. Remember what you told Cameron?" Grace asked.
I sighed again. "That was just to make him feel better. But, it's more than the fact she fainted." Grace raised an eyebrow. "Talk." She said, eyeing me.
"It's Cameron. I don't know, something about him with her... It just.. Gives me this weird vibe." I confessed. Grace sighed. "I know my brother can be an idiot sometimes, but he's a sweet guy. He'll be good to her. If you know, they do end up together." Grace promised.
"I don't think so." I said shaking my head. "Not to be rude, Cameron's a good guy and all, he's just isn't good enough for Samantha. I mean, what if he influences her?!"
"Sam's smart. She knows what to do and what not to." Grace replied. "Not with him. The way she looks at him, just..." I rub my temples, frustrated.
"Hey, it'll be fine." Grace said, taking my hand and making me look at her. "You think so?" I said. I didn't notice our faces were gravitating closer to each other as we spoke.
"I know so." She said. Our lips touched, sending sparks through my body. I wrapped my hands around her waist, not letting her pull away. Her lips were soft and smooth moving across mine.
I didn't know how to describe it. It was... Amazing.
Samantha's POV
Cameron helped me out of bed, my legs still weak. I stood for awhile, letting myself gain strength. We went downstairs, only to see Grace and Shawn. I felt Cameron tense beside me as I smiled and tried not to shriek.
Suddenly, Cameron began to walk. "Oh no you don't!" I hissed, pinning him to the wall. "Don't ruin this for her! She likes him!" He stared down at me, his eyes icy with anger.
"Cameron. Think about this. What if it was you there. Finally kissing the girl you like. You wouldn't want someone to ruin that, would you?" I asked, searching his face for an answer.
His face softened, his eyes melting away the anger. "That's a boy." I said. "Now, I'm going to let go." I said, ready to unpin him from the wall. "If you run in there I swear..." I said threateningly.
He nodded, as I removed my grip from him. He fixed his shirt as he stared at them on the couch, now talking. I grabbed his hand and squeezed reassuringly. "It'll be fine." I promised.
He nodded, and walked in. Shawn and Grace jumped apart, their face turning white, eyes practically popping out of their heads.
"What happened in here?" Cameron said, chuckling at their reaction. I laughed with him. "You guys look like deer in headlights." I said.
Shawn ignored our remarks and came over to hug me. I smiled as I hugged back. I melted into my brothers arms, feeling better. "I'm glad you're okay." He mummered.
"Why wouldn't I be?" I asked. He didn't answer. He just kept hugging me. I saw Grace smile as Cameron pulled her into a side hug, clearly now quietly playing the 'overprotective brother' card.
"Alright, alright." Nash said, walking in with Emily. His hand was on the small of her back and I smiled. Emily and Nash.
"Hayes and Emma have gone on a date, so it's just us." Emily informed, looking at me. "So..." "IMA KICK YOUR ASSES AT MARIO KART!" Nash screamed, turning on the television and setting up the Wii.
"Oh you're so on." Grace smirked, as Nash tossed everyone a controller. I sat on the floor beside Shawn, as everyone else squeezed onto the couch.
"Dibs Yoshi!" I said, choosing him. "Aww!!" Emily whined. "I wanted him!"
I smirked at her. "No! Yoshi is Sam's bae!" Grace said, being weird as ever. I just laughed, ready for the race.
"Oh hell yeah!" Shawn said, getting a star in his items. He laughed maniacally as he rode through the crowd.
"No!! Shawn! Stay away!!" I shrieked seeing him coming from behind me. Shawn continued to laugh. He ended up bumping into me, but just after it went away. "AHAHA!!" I said, riding away from him.
"GOD DAMNIT!!" We all screamed, seeing Cameron pass the finish line. Cameron laughed, nudging Nash.
"So, what happened to beating me?" Cameron teased. Nash frowned at his friend as we all laughed.
"You're not funny." Nash said, glaring at Cameron. "I beg to differ." Cameron replied. "I think I'm hilarious."
"He is pretty funny. Funny looking." I said, laughing as everyone hit Cameron with a pillow.
"Jerk."
