Cameron's POV
"Hayes don't you think this is all a bit too much?" I asked, walking into the hardware store with him and Nash."No! I want to do something special for Emma! She's always dreamed about Prom since we got into highschool. I really want it to be exactly like she hoped it would be." Hayes said, walking down one of the long hallways heading to the back of the store.
"Okay... but don't you think that you're stressing about it way to much? Dude, she loves you. I bet if you just asked her she would say yes. No need to stress about the minor details." Nash said, shaking his head at his brother.
Hayes stopped short, turning around to face Nash and I.
"Wouldn't you feel bad if Emily or Sam walked into whatever you guys are planning and their face dropped? Like they expected something more from you? Wouldn't that just break your heart?"
I gulped as I thought about it. What if that did happen? "Listen man, I don't think they're stressed over how they're gonna get asked to prom." Nash said, seeming calm.
"Easy for you to say, you already have the perfect way to ask Emily." Hayes grumbled, turning around and continuing to walk to the back of the store.
"What's that?" I asked. Nash just chuckled a bit as he reached out into his pocket, pulling out a box. He opened it to reveal a princess ring, with a small card reading 'Prom?' inside.
I shook my head at him. "Man, always gotta be the hardest to one up, don't you Nash?" Nash just chuckled and put the ring back in his pocket.
"I don't know man, seems like Hayes is trying really hard."
"AHA!" I heard Hayes exclaim, picking up a bundle of white Christmas lights. I have him a confused look as I took the bundle from his hands.
"Dude, what are you planning?" Nash asked, leaning over my shoulder to look at the lights. Hayes just smirked, taking the lights back.
"You'll see."
Grace's POV
"Shawn?" I asked, stepping into the house. "Hello?!" I called, not seeing anyone in the front room."Up here!" He yelled, his voice echoing down the stairs. I sighed as I climbed them, following a shuffling noise into his room.
"Shawn?" I asked, flicking on the lights of his room. There, I saw a poster leaning up against a stuffed lion. "Leo the lion!" I exclaimed, looking down to read the sign.
'I'd be lion if I said I didn't want to take you to Prom' it read. I smiled, tears threatening to spill from my eyes.
"Surpiseeee." Shawn whispered, coming out of his hiding spot in his closet. I sniffled as I hugged him, him chuckling at me.
"So?" He asked, pulling away from the hug and picking up Leo. I laughed, grabbing the stuffed animal and hugging him to my chest.
"Yes." I smiled. Shawn smiled back, bigger than I ever saw him do, and leaned down to kiss me. Our lips moved together in sync, my heart fluttering. Shawn pulled away, looking down at me. "Rawr." I mumbled, brushing the lions hands against his face.
Shawn just laughed, leaning down to kiss me once more.
Emily's POV
"Hey!" I smiled, seeing Hayes and Cameron sitting at the kitchen table of the Grier's house."Nash called me saying to come over. Where is he?" I asked, looking at the boys. "Umm... I think he's upstairs." Cameron said, smiling like an idiot.
I just laughed at him. "Okay??"
I heard Hayes and Cameron start whispering something as I started up the stairs, but I just shrugged and ignored it.
