It has been a month since we started working here and we really started to get settled into our jobs. I mean it was no picnic in the park but at least some things were getting together.

Jen was becoming one, even the best dancer in her group. Rachelle was making some spectacular costumes, Georgie was creating the best stage props you have seen. Karissa was nailing all her high notes on the violin, and then there's me. It turns out that all the other singers had professional trainers while I had college professors.
So I was the best background singer but I'm not the best singer yet.

We also have become really good friends with Andrew and he is like a brother to us. He answers every question we have and helps us out at a moments notice. Our days usually consisted of us going to work and then at night us six would meet on the roof of the opera house every night to talk about our day.

Andrew took us to the roof after our first day of work to try and cheer us up. So now we hang up there every night talking about everything and nothing at the same time. So tonight after a really long day of work I was really looking forward to release some steam. I was the first to come to the roof tonight and I was going over my songs next to the statue that was up here. One by one my friends started to show up.

Rachelle came up first, then Karissa, after that was Georgie and Andrew, lastly was Jen.

"I'm telling you if I have to hear one more ballad today, I'm going to scream." Jen said looking completely exhausted.

"Tough day at work?" I asked.

"It wasn't tough it was just long. We kept going over and over the same dance. It's like okay I get it, I know how to pirouette now so can we please move onto something else?" Jen ranted on.

"I had a crappy day as well."

"Me too."

"So have I." We said in unison.

"I'm always tired after looking at sheet music all day. " Karissa sighed.

"My feet are always sore!" Jen groaned.

"My hands are so bad from sewing gowns by hand!" Rachelle said.

"Yeah and Andrew and I always have paint all over our hands." Georgie said with Andrew nodding along in agreement.

"I seem to run out of breath after each high note and I have Carlotta judging my every movement." I said.

"But you guys are enjoying your jobs right?" Andrew asked.

"Certainly."

"Of course."

"Wouldn't trade it for anything else."

"Now I'm confused, why are you all complaining if you love your jobs so much?" Andrew asked with a puzzled look on his face.

"Just because we get tired after a long week doesn't mean we hate our jobs." I stated.

"Yeah we love our jobs but its nice to come up here and let loose for a little bit before going to bed." Rachelle said.

"Yes, now I brought dinner tonight and wine!" Karissa said with a gleam in her eyes.

"I'll take that thank you." Jen said while pouring herself a huge glass of wine.

"So Andrew you still seem to be in a good mood, tell us something interesting." I said.

"What do you want to hear?" he asked.

"Anything that will make us forget how tired we are." Karissa said.
