Chapter 5-Telling The Parents

*Ding ding ding*
The bell had gone, I had a free period and so did the boys. We ended up meeting up out the front of the school.
"Hey Lily we didn't say this before but congratulations about the football things" Tom said with a massive smile on his face
"Yeah congrats Lil" Chris said jumping around the place
"Thanks you guys, now I can hang out more with both of you"I said
I started laughing, they laughed along with me.

I turned my head to the car park to see my mums car driving in. She must of decided to come and pick me up early.
*beep beep beep*
"Ok I'm coming" I screamed out
I said my goodbyes to the boys and ran to the car. I opened the door to see my mum sitting in the car just smiling at me as I hoped in.
"Hello darling, how was your day?" Mum said still smiling at me
She started the car and reversed out of the car spot.
"It was great, Coach asked me if I would like to help out with the football team and even maybe help Coach the team" I said
"That's splendid, what did you say" she said while concentrating on the road
"Yes, so I'm going to be late home some nights" I said looking at my phone
"Oh ok, that's fine just message me when your ready for me to come and pick you up" she said while pulling up into the drive way.

I don't know how my dad is going to react to me helping out with the football. He knows I love sports but he doesn't like me doing things by myself, witch I'm not I'm going to be with the boys. I got out of the car and walked towards the door, I opened that door and walked inside to see my dad sitting on the couch.
"Hi dad" I said with a strong voice
"Hello Lily, come sit" he said while moving his hand in a clockwise precision on the couch
I walked over to the couch and sat down.
"Dad" I said
"I have something to tell you" I said putting my hands in my lap
"Ok Lily, what is it" he said
"Coach asked me today if I would like to help out the football team and maybe help coach the team"I said in a strong voice
"Who? And what did you say" he said
"Coach is the football coach everyone calls him Coach and I said yes" I said looking down trying not to look him in the eyes
"Tomorrow your going to see Coach and say you can't do it"he said while standing up
I stood up and looked I'm in the eyes.
"No dad I'm not, I wanna help out I'm not going to be alone I will be with the boys and I'm going to call mum straight after football to come and pick me up, I will be fine dad I swear, I'm all grown up I can handle myself I'm not a little girl anymore" I said
"I know darling but I don't want you out there all alone at night"he said
I got angry at this point he still doesn't trust me to do things by myself even though I'm not going to be alone I will have the guys.
"Dad I'm going to do it and plus it's only going to be for 2 weeks" I said
I think that might of changed his mind. School was ending in 2 weeks and the Jocks only train on a Tuesday,Thursday and a Friday and they play a game on Sunday's.
"Fine darling but if anything goes wrong, or you don't call your mum straight after football your not going anymore" he said
I started jumping around and screaming.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you dad" I said screaming and still jumping around
