We just sat there for about 10 minutes in total silence.
"Are you okay?" I said looking at his face
He didn't say anything back to me.
"Chris!" I said in a loud voice
He looked up at me, finally I thought to myself.
"Are you okay?" I said looking at his face again
"I'm fine" Chris said looking down at his feet
"Chris, tell me what's wrong" I said moving closer
"Nothing is wrong, Lily" He said moving away from me
"Chris, something is wrong, I know that for a fact" I said getting up to leave
"Chris, you know what, I came here thinking you would tell me, but I guess i'm wrong about that" I said walking away
He didn't say anything to me when I was leaving. I got to the bottom of the steps and went to sit under them. When I sat down under them Chris looked down and saw me. He knows I like to sit under the stairs, but I love sitting down here I normally do it when the boys are playing football on the oval and I sit under here and read, so I sat down and pulled out my book and started reading. It's so peaceful under here.
"Hey, get up" I heard someone say
I thought they were talking to someone else, so I just went back to read my book.
"Hey, I thought I told you to get up" A girl said
Now she was standing in front of me with her friend.
"Excuse you" I said looking up at them
"Get up, we need to ask you a question" The blonde one said
"Okay? and who are you??" I said standing up
"I'm jasmine " The brunet one said

"And i'm Stacey " The blonde one said

"Okay? Umm, what did you need to ask me?" I said smiling
I looked up to see Chris watching this, he started to get up off the step and come down the steps.
"You see that boy moving, up there" Stacey said while pointing up at Chris
"Yeah?" I said
"um... Is he single?"Stacey said smiling
"Umm... Yes he is" I said looking down
Chris was already down the stairs and standing next to me, he put his arm around me and just smiled at Stacey and Jasmine.
"Hi I'm Chris, nice to meet you" Chris said
"Hi Chris I'm Jasmine and.. And this is" Jasmine said smiling
"I'm! Stacey" she said smiling and leaning towards Chris
Chris turned to me and smiled
"Are these girls hassling you?" Chris said looking me dead in the eyes
"No, no there not, it's all good" I said looking him back dead in the eyes until I broke the tension
"Excuse me Jasmine and Stacey, but I should be getting back to class, see you around school" I said turning away and started walking to my locker
I just left Chris there. I didn't wanna talk to him after that, I was trying to help him but he pushed me away. I don't know if I can help him, he will have to talk to me when he's ready. I walked to my locker and saw that Tom was at his locker, I walked over to his locker.
"Hey, you okay?" I said
"Yeah I'm okay" Tom said
"Do you wanna talk about what happened before with Chris?" I said starting to walk to my locker, Tom followed me.
"No, can we just leave that alone please" Tom said looking down at the floor
"Okay, sure" I said opening my locker to get my bag
"I have a free double period" I said looking Tom in the eyes
"Same" Tom said "Didn't you just have a free period?" Tom added on
"Yeah, I'm only meant to be here for period 3&4, but I came here to study and then this all happened, so I'm gonna go home" I said "Wanna come to my house" I added on
"Sure, I don't see why not" Tom said
We walked to the doors and got to the steps out the front of the school. I could see my mum cars, we walked over to her car and got in. She droves us to my house and when we got home, we went to my room.
