Chapter 7- Confused

I turned off my phone and put it on my bed facing downwards. I pushed myself up to me feet. I slowly walked over to my door, I really didn't get why I was so scared it's just my parents they say yes to very thing, I chuckled for a second. I opened the door and saw my dad still in the same spot on the couch. I walked over to my parents bedroom, that's normally where my mum is and she was. I pushed the door open, mum looked up at me.
"What is is dear" mum said smiling
She circled her hand on the bed signaling me to come over and join her.
"Hi mum can I ask you something" I said smiling back
She is always the one to say yes to everything it's my dad that normally says no to things.
"Yes dearie, what is it" she said
"Can I go out with the boys this weekend" I said going to sit on the bed
"Lily why are you even asking me if you can go with the boys, you already know my answear, witch by the way is yes" mum said
"Yeah I know but I still like coming and asking you" I said smiling
She laughed for a bit.
"Ok you have one yes now go ask your dad and if he says no then I'm sorry dear you can't go" mum said smiling
"Yeah I know wish me luck" I said while getting up off the bed

I started to walk to the door and into the kitchen, my dad is still sitting on the coach. I started walking up to him to sit next to him on the coach.
"Dad" I said with a strong voice
"yes lily" he said moving his head to face me
"Can I ask you a question" I said looking down
"Yes what is it" he said
"Can I go out with the boys on the weekend" I said looking up at him with a smile
"Fine" he said
I jumped up off the coach and looked up to see my mum in the kitchen.
"Mum did you just hear that dad said fine, he didn't say no first he said fine first" I said to mum jumping up and down, while smiling
"I know dearie that's amazing" mum said while giggling a little
"Thank you dad thank you" I said still jumping up and down
I ran off into my room and closed the door behind me, I jumped onto my bed and grabbed my phone. I went to start texting the boys and then I heard my mum say something to my dad.
"That was a good thing you did there" mum said
"I know I only said fine because we need a day to our selves, we can go out in the daylight and do our thing" dad said

What does he mean by we can go out in the daylight and do our thing. This made me very confused,I went to message the boys and then my phone died. I got up and walked over to the charger and put my phone on charge.
"I guess I'll just have to tell them tomorrow at school" I said to myself
I got changed into my pajamas and said my good nights to my parents, I turned my lamp on my desk on so when turn my room lights off I can see where I'm going. In the end I ended up turning my room lights off and got into bed, I turned off my lamp too. I woke up to hear a noise in my house.
