CHAPTER 6

I had to force my eyes to open- i was laying in a bed, i very big bed. The sheets were silky against my skin; turning my head left i couldn't help the loud groan that escaped. I felt like i was hit by a truck.

"Ash?"

I turned to my left and found Gage smiling at me. He looked tired, the bags under his eyes had there own set of dark bags.

"We were worried about you"

I smiled at him and groaned as i tried to sit up. I looked down at myself; i had on a oversized tshirt. Way to big- where were my clothes? And where the hell are we?

"Wha- what happened?!"

Gage sighed and ran his hands through his hair; he had on different clothes as well. He looked back at me and was just about to answer before Max slammed the door open.

"Ash! Thank god!"

He ran at me and engulfed me in a hug. Settling down beside me on the bed he pulled me into him and held me close.

"K you guys what happened?! Where are we?"

Max squeezed me tighter before answering

"Ash, we didn't know what was going to happen to you. That vampire he-"

He motioned towards my arm. I quickly tore the bandages off- but there was nothing there. I looked questionably at Gage

"The one who bit you, he tore a good chunk out Ash. He left a hole in your arm and when you went to save Max- well all that blood..."

My body froze, i don't know if i even took a breathe.

"Am.. am i?"

Max pulled me close before shaking his head- right as he was about to answer my door swung open again.

"No you did not turn"

I looked up at Nicholas; his face was clean shaven making him look a lot younger- i liked his stubble. His black shirt was tight across his sculpted chest- was it just me or was it getting hot in here?

"How did you stop it?"

I looked at Gage then back to Max. Both of them refusing to make eye contact; looking back at Nicholas he had a small smirk on his face. I waited a few more minutes and huffed crossing my arms

Nobody was answering me and i was starting to get impatient

"Well?!"

"I stopped the transformation"

Nicholas took a hesitant step towards me and sat down at the end of my bed.

Gage and Max both would still not make eye contact with me.

"How?"

Did i even want to know?

"You know about mates correct?"

I narrowed my eyes at him

"You are mine- when i realized what was happening i acted on instinct. I didn't even know if it would work. The venom was already taking over Ash- my bite stopped it.. I think"

My hand instinctively flew up to my neck.

"Wha- what do you mean you think Nicholas. Am i a fucking blood sucker or not?!"
