When we left Jake to go home, Alex turned to me in the car, "I'm glad to see you have friends who have their priorities straight," she laughed.
"I didn't know he would like, test you," I blushed.
"It's alright," she smiled, gently touching my burning cheek. Then she sighed, "we haven't been properly alone together in so long."
"We're alone now," I observed. There were cars parked all around us, but any that I could see were empty.
"Not alone enough," she said, rubbing my hand with her fingers.
"Then we'll go somewhere else," I suggested, "Anywhere. Somewhere quiet."
"Do you want to?" She asked, "we could find somewhere to park the car, and maybe I can kiss you properly."
"That sounds like a good plan," I agreed, my heart beating quickly.
As promised, she drove this time, and eventually we pulled up in a car park behind a comic book store. There were two other cars there, but both were empty.
"It says customers only," I pointed out.
"Fine," she laughed, "we'll go in and look before we leave."
She reached over and undid my seat belt, then pressed her lips against mine. I let out a contented sigh, moving closer to her. Her hand gently touched my leg as she kissed me, putting her other hand behind my head.
I couldn't get close enough to her. I could feel her breath on my lips and yet still I ached to be closer. She seemed to sense this, and pulled me over to her side of the car, pressing my back against the door, my legs draped over her's.
"I've missed holding you these past few weeks," she murmured, "everything about it feels so right."
"I know. I feel the same," I sighed, resting my head in the curve of her neck, "sometimes I think we're like jigsaw pieces, we just mould together perfectly."
"You are so cute," she kissed me again.
"Nah, just weird," I joked.
"Who says the two can't go together," she smiled.
"Now you're being cute," I sighed. I kissed the side of her cheek, brushing my lips on her jawline. Her neck was as soft and smooth as petals on my lips as I kissed it lightly.
"Okay, I can't let this go on any longer," she exhaled, gently lifting my face to look at her.
"What's wrong?" I asked, worried.
"Nothing," she smiled, "will you... will you just be my girlfriend already?"
Oh wow. There were butterflies flapping their wings inside my stomach, goosebumps rising on my skin, "I can't think of anything I'd like better."
She beamed, kissing me firmly on the lips, "we're gonna be such a cute couple," she joked.
