Searching for the Moon

Fred’s POV

            I took a deep breath as I woke up and stretched. I must’ve fallen asleep while I waited for Aria to sleep. She was a mess and so was I; though I was staying strong for her. I couldn’t believe Raychel did this. She planned this. I can’t believe I believed that Aria was cheating on me. I was a git for even thinking that.  I sighed and looked next to me. Aria wasn’t there and my heart jumped with panic. I looked on the floor and saw Katie was no longer lying next to Oliver. I jumped out of the bed and ran out into the hall. I saw a light on downstairs and I ran down there. Aria was pacing the room holding a crying Katie. I sighed again and went over to them. Aria was crying and she looked at me.

            “She won’t stop crying.” Aria told me. “She had a bad dream that Maria was dead and she won’t stop crying.” She rocked Katie. “No matter what I do she won’t stop.”

            I looked down into Katie’s teary eyes and said, “Did you have a bad dream?” She nodded and I sighed. “Come here.” I held my arms out to her and she came into my arms. My heart warmed holding her like it did whenever I held one of my kids. I loved them so much and it hurt that Maria was gone and that Katie was upset. I looked down at Aria and said, “I’ll calm her down. You sit on the couch and calm down.” She nodded and sat down on the couch. “Katie Bug, Maria is fine. I’m gonna find her and bring her home. Today. I promise.” I kissed her head and her crying was calming.

            “You are?” She looked into my eyes.

            I nodded. “Yes.” I hugged her tight then started singing her favorite song; which is “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles.

            “Daddy, you can’t sing.” She told me and I laughed.

            “Do you want Mumma to sing then?” She nodded and I handed her to Aria.

            Aria started singing and I smiled. She hasn’t sung in months and I’ve missed it. Soon, Katie was fast asleep and Aria took her upstairs. I sat down on the couch and waited for Aria to come back down. Once she did, she sat by me and sighed. “How is it that I’ve been trying to get her to calm down for an hour and you come and you get her to in a minute?”

            I shrugged and rubbed her arm. “She just needed her father.” I kissed her head. “Have you slept?”

            She shook her head. “No. You fell asleep so I came down here to get a drink of water then Katie came down crying.”

            “You should sleep.”

            She sighed. “I can’t.”

            “I know but you should.” I looked at the time and it was three in the morning. “Has anyone else come here?”

            She shook her head. “No. Just you and you should go back.”
            I raised an eyebrow. “And what about you?”

            “I’ll be fine, Fred. Just please go find our daughter.” She kissed my lips. “Keep the promise you made Katie.”

            “I will.” I kissed her and stood up. “I love you.”
            “I love you too.”

            I was about to apparated but then there were several cracks in the room. I looked around and my brothers, Harry, Jude, Lee, and Draco were standing in the room. “Guys, what’s going on?” I asked them.

            “We’re gonna continue in the morning.” Harry answered.

            “What? No! We have to find her!” I yelled; anger building up in my body. Didn’t they realize that this was my little girl?

            “Fred, calm down.” Bill told me and came over to me. “We all need out rest and we’ll start again in the morning.”

            “Fine! Go rest! Go be with your wife and all your kids! At least you know all of them are safe!” I walked into the kitchen and I heard someone follow me.

            “Fred, stop.” George said and made me look at him. “Listen, after everyone falls asleep, you and I will go back looking, alright?”

            I sighed and nodded. “Alright.”

            By the time everyone was in asleep, it was getting light outside. Fred and I sat in our room with our families as we waited for Aria to give us the sign that we could leave. She soon came in and nodded and George and I apparated. We were standing in the dining room of Raychel’s house for the second time. I knew Raychel would’ve came here after thinking we were finished looking here. An alarm went off and soon there were guys surrounding us. I heard a familiar laugh and Raychel pushed through the guys.

            “Well, well.” She smiled at me. “Fred, you’ve came back.”

            “Let me have my daughter, Raychel.” I said angrily and she touched my face.

            “I will. If you do something for me.” She put her mouth to my ear and whispered, “Let’s make love.”
