Raychel
Fred’s POV
It was dark and all I head was the same thing being said over and over again. “They will be mine. They will be mine. They will be mine.” It was Raychel, that I knew, but I couldn’t see where she was. I was looking around for her and wondered where Aria and the kids were. Were they alright? “They will be mine. They will be mine. They will be mine.” Hands grabbed my shoulders and Raychel was standing in front of me. “You will be mine.” She jumped at me.
I jumped awake and was covered in a cold sweat. I was panting and looked around my bedroom. Aria wasn’t there but I could hear her talking in Nick’s room so I knew she was safe. They all were safe. I sighed and just lied there in my bed. Raychel has been getting in my dreams since she attacked Aria three weeks ago. I looked at the time and it was almost nine. I sighed and sat up. My head started hurting and I groaned with frustration. Raychel couldn’t let me have a moment of peace.
“Fred, I know you dream of me.” Her voice said. “Can’t blame you. Today is my birthday and I’ll be waiting for you outside your house at noon. If you don’t come or try anything to harm me, I’ll make sure Aria and the kids don’t survive the day. I love you.”
My vision returned and I heard the door open. “Fred? What’s wrong?” Aria asked and she sat down by me.
I looked up at her and knew I was going to regret what I was about to say. “I have to go somewhere at noon.”
She looked at me curiously. “Where?”
I took a deep breath. “I don’t know but I’m going with Raychel.”
Her eyes widened and she shook her head. “No.”
“Aria, please. It’s her birthday.”
“So?! You’re not going!”
“Aria, I have to go! If I don’t, she’ll hurt you and the kids!” Tears filled her eyes and my heart ached. I hated her crying. “Love, you know I wouldn’t go if your lives weren’t threatened.” I touched her hand. “I promise I’ll be home tonight.” I kissed her cheek.
She stood up and left our room. I sighed and put my head in my hands. I hated Raychel for doing this. She couldn’t just leave me alone. Leave my family alone. She just had to get what she wanted but she’d never get me. I was only Aria’s. Always have been and if she killed Aria and the kids, I’d kill myself without hesitation.
I stood up and got dressed before going downstairs. I wanted to at least have Aria talking to me before I left with Raychel. Her and the kids were in the kitchen eating breakfast and I sat down by her. “Aria, I’m sorry.” I whispered to her as I started eating.
“Not right now.” She said angrily and continued eating.
I looked at Maria and Katie and they were looking at Aria and I. They knew we were fighting and I hated that. I sighed and continued eating the eggs Aria made. Hopefully we’d resolve this after breakfast. She finished before I did and started cleaning up. I quickly ate the rest of what I had then stood by her at the sink. “Let’s talk in the sitting room.”
She rolled her eyes. “Fine.” She left the room.
I looked at the girls and they were staring at me. I smiled to them reassuringly and followed Aria into the sitting room. “Love, don’t be mad.” I told her.
