I woke up the next day very happy. All I could think about was Gavin. All I want to do is see him. I would even be ok with just texting him. I thought about who could have his number. The first thought I had was Grant. Then i remembered that he's in the hospital. So k took him off the list. Then I thought of Bettany. Then I remembered they didn't really know each other. Then Shana. I'll text her.
I grabbed my phone.
'Hey I was wondering if you had Gavin's phone number?' I texted Shana hoping she's have it.
'No. Why do you want it?' That's when I realized that I really did like him. But I can't tell her that.
'Well you were concerned about me, so I figured that he would be too.' I hope she doesn't keep harping on me.
'Ok what ever you say.'
After I read the message I decided to text Kimber.
I texted her that same thing I texted Shana.
'Yes I have his number. I'm assuming you want it.' She texted back after a little bit.
'Yes I do want it.'
'Here it is.' She sent the number. I got really excited.
'Thank you!' I held my finger on the number, it pulled up some options, I click the one that said make a contact.
I entered his name. Then I realized that's about all I know about him. But that's ok.
'Your very welcome. How are you feeling about the whole Grant thing?' She messaged after I made the contact.
'I'm doing good with it. But I'm still a little shaken up.' I responded, still quite happy about having Gavin's number.
'Well that's good. Have fun texting Gavin.' She responded. I swear she knows why I wanted the number.
'I will.'
I pulled up Gavin's contact and clicked the message button.
'Hi, Gavin this is Cleo.' I just hoped he didn't think its weird that I got his number.
'Hey Cleo! How are you doing?' He messaged back only a few seconds after I texted him. I'm so happy that he is at least not voicing that he thinks its weird that I have his number.
'I'm doing fine. How about you?' I asked very happy.
'I'm doing good. But I'm also not the one that's best friend is in the hospital.' I smiled down at the phone, happy because he cares.
'Yeah. So what did you guys do at the dance after we left?' I haven't really thought about asking anyone about what happened after the incident.
'We all went home. Nixon, Shana, Kimber, and Mason, all went home in that car they came in. Then I went home in my car.'
'oh, that sucks. It was fun up in till the incident.' I replied.
'Yeah, it was fun. you were a really good dancer.' I smiled even more.
'Why thank you. You weren't that bad yourself.' I was smiling so big, I was praying that my mom didn't walk in on me.
'Thank you. I would really like to keep talking, but I have to go. Can I texted you later today?' As I read that it made me sad and happy that the same time. Sad he had to go, but happy he wanted to talk later.
'If you have to go then fine. And of course you can text me later.'
'I'll text you later then.' I smiled I was so happy.
'Bye!'
'Bye!' After I read that message I decided to get up, and get ready for the day.
I walked over to my closet. I liked at my clothes deciding if I wanted to wear a cute shirt or a t-shirt. I decided on in between. I picked a white body shirt with camo sleeves. I decided I didn't want to wear pants, so I chose a pair of black leggings.
I went to the bathroom to get changed. After I got changed I took my hair out of the messy bun I had it in. It had fun curls and it wasn't tangled so I didn't brush it out.
I went down stairs, into the kitchen. My mom was standing in the kitchen doing something I couldn't see.
"Hey, mom." I said as I sat at the bar in a bar stool.
"Good morning sweet heart. How'd you sleep?" She asked as she looked back at me. I got to see what she was doing for a split second. I still didn't know what she was making though.
"I slept good. What about you?" I asked moving my head around to see what she was making.
"I slept good. Do you want to know what I'm making?" She asked seeing how I had my head moving.
"Yes I do." I said smiling that she knew what I want.
"I'm making omelets." She said knowing those are my favorites.
"Yay!" I cheered happily.
"I made them just for you." Right as she said that my dad walked out of his bedroom that is right around the corner from the kitchen.
"Good morning, my beautiful girls." My dad said kissing the top of my head.
"Good morning, dude." I said as I turned around in the chair, to give him a hug.
"How was homecoming before the incident?" He asked as we hugged.
"It was fun!" I said as we pulled away and I looked up at him.
"Did you dance with a boy?" He asked suspiciously.
"Yes I did." I said grinning.
"Was it with Grant?" He asked with almost a hopeful tone.
"No. It was with one of Grants friends, Gavin." I said happily, thinking of last night.
"Oh..." He said looking at me in a weird way.
"Breakfast is almost done, get some drinks for us." My mom said as she was put another omelet on a plate.
"What do you want to drink sweet pea?" My dad asked as he walked towards the fridge.
"I would like apple juice if we have it." I said smiling at him.
"I'll have that too." My mom said smiling at him with the same smile I gave him. You see I have my moms smile, and her eyes, but I have my dads nose, his cheeks, and his hair color.
"Well then we can all have apple juice." He said with his own big smile.
He pulled the apple juice jug out of the fridge and took it to the table. Then my mom grabbed the omelets and took them to the table. I walked over to the table and sat my usual spot, the one closest to the stairs. My dad sat at the head of the table. My mom sat right across from me.
We talked about random stuff.
Then after breakfast we all went to the couch and started to watch some tv.
That's all we did all day. I have to admit that it was a good day.
