The Lies That Lie Behind The Light [Never To Be Touched Again]

Prologue: The Dream

Shadows seemed to swallow everything. Though, it didn't feel harsh and cold, it felt... warm and welcoming. Not like all the rumors, legends, and myths. All of a sudden, a female voice was heard, cutting through the silence. "It seems as though you have made it partially into the shadow realm." Her voice was gentle, but also seemed on edge. "Do you want to hear a story?" No response. "Alright then, I'll tell you. You know how in every story, book, whatever the darkness is evil and the light is good? In every myth and legend as well? But then, what if this was all false? What if the roles were actually switched up? What if.... the light was evil, and the darkness was actually good?" Silence. "There once was a man named Hikato Kage. Some people called him a god, some called him a fraud. Either way, he had extraordinary power, but he was kind and not greedy. Though the thing about him was that, he would never age and never die. One day, he decided to make the Digiverse, a place that now exists only in computers. You have to cross through dimensions to get there, which is why few go to the Digiverse.

"He created two species, the Kage -the shadows- and the Hikari - the light. The Kage had magic and the Hikari had wings, but both were powerful. They lived in the same realm as one another. But, even though they were created to be equal, the Hikari thought they were greater than the Kage. They struck out against the Kage and many were injured. They seeked out Hikato and he came after hearing their pleads. Hearing their story, he made two realms. The Hikari continued to attack and the Kage got stronger, but they knew they could not fully defeat them. Though, everything seemed to change 5 years ago when a boy, banished to the Digiverse, had come to the Kage's help. That does not mean the tables have turned completely, but now the Kage have a chance. Thus brings us to here. Oh, it seems as though you must go. But, before you do if you have the decision to go to the Digiverse, go. And please, make the right decision. But before you go, tell me your name." ... "Suraida."
