Chapter 2: The Request

Lunch had ended. There were some lessons but nothing really happened until... The crackling of the speaker made everyone turn their heads. "Suraida Kopu, Jakki Ki, and Papuru Pinku, please go to Mazabodo's office." Jakki, Paparu, and I arrived at Mazabodo's office. Dejitaru was standing next to Mazabodo, who was sitting in her chair. "Hello there Suraida...earthlies." I saw Jakki and Paparu tense up at the word 'earthlies'. "I know this, but I have something for you. You don't have to do this, but I have something for you." She paused and looked at all of us. "...I want you to go to the Digiverse." I stared at her in shock as the sentence hung in the air. All of a sudden the office seemed to explode, even though it was only two people trying to yell over each other at someone at very, very, high decibels. Mazabodo held up a hand to silence them, and Inez and Jackie fell silent. "I know that you are surprised by this request and you may turn this down but I'm asking if you would go to the Digiverse. This is a very serious request to you and I know that you may not be comfortable with this but I want you to think about it." I raised my hand and she nodded at me. "Why choose us though? Aren't there other people that are better at doing this then us?" I asked looking at her seriously.

"It's because I think you will meet someone. Someone you have...experience with." She said. Dejitaru wore a nonchalant face but I could tell he was fidgeting. In fact, everyone was fidgeting except for Mazabodo. We left her office and finished our lessons. I flopped onto my perfectly white bed and rolled over. I kept thinking about the request when I remembered about my dream. 'If you have the decision to go to the Digiverse, go. And please, make the right decision.' I rolled that sentence over and over again in my head. Should I go? If I do I might see... I shook my head and sat up. I made my final decision. I just hope that Papaur and Jakki made the same decision as me. I heard a knock at the door and opened it up. Standing there was Paparu and Jakki, ready to go home. "Hey, before we go we wanted to talk to you about the request." Jakki and Paparu stepped into the apartment and sat down on the bed. "So...have you decided if you're going or not?" Jakki asked, making eye contact with Paparu before looking at me. "Yeah." I replied. I opened and closed my mouth about 20 time before saying, "Yes."
