TOBIAS: You and the other Dauntless born walked into the test room behind Lauren, grinning at the transfers who were already in there. Four looked at you and smiled, flashing his brilliant smile at you. You felt your cheeks get warm and you smiled back, earning a slight shove from Marlene.

"Okay, everyone, listen up! Today you will enter Lauren's fear landscape." Four began to explain to the transfer students, causing you to furrow your eyebrows.

"Like if our own fears weren't already enough." Lynn scoffed, earning a glare from Eric, who was leaning on the wall in front of all of you, crossing his arms.

"Sounds like you're afraid, initiate. If you are, you might as well leave now." He stated. Everyone turned to Lynn, and she crossed her arms, clenching her jaw as she did so.

"Anyway." Four said, disregarding Eric. "The reason why I have all of us together is because in the final landscape, you will be watched by every Dauntless leader, by Jeanine, and a whole bunch of other important people. This is a great way to practice. With that being said, do I have a volunteer?" Four looked at all of his transfers. Before anyone could say anything, Eric spoke up.

"We'll have Y/N do it. Let's show these transfers how it's done." He said, smirking at you. Everyone's eyes fell on you and you clenched your fists. He must know something; you were about to ask him why he specifically chose you, but Four shook his head at you. Don't expose yourself.

"Sure." You stated, walking up to the chair next to Lauren's, who was being hooked up with wires. Four connected the wires to you and you stared at him, asking for help with your eyes. He injected the serum into Lauren and then moved on to you.

"Do it like a Dauntless would, babe." He inaudibly said, resisting the urge to grab your hand. Lauren looked over at you and nodded, making sure that you both closed your eyes at the same time. When you opened your eyes, you looked around to find Lauren, who was nowhere in sight. You noticed that you were in a dark room, and you called out for Lauren, but no response was heard.

"I can't see anything." You stated, almost tripping on an object on the floor. You bent down to grab it and found a button on the side of it. You smiled; it was a flashlight! You turned it on and to your disgust, there was an army of spiders on the floor making their way up to you. You began to shriek, backing away from the little, hairy creeps. You almost sat down and reminded yourself that it wasn't real, but you couldn't; you had to do this like a Dauntless would. What would a Dauntless do? You started to look for the egg, so as you kept flicking the spiders off of your body, you looked around with your flashlight for it. You found it in the corner and rapidly ran over to it, stomping it furiously. When it finally exploded, you woke up once again, only this time to reality. You and Lauren were gasping, and everyone began to clap. You pulled the wires off of you, angry that Eric made you do that. You looked over at Four, who was clapping for you.

"You proved him very wrong." He said to you as you walked past him, making you smirk at Eric, who was angry that he couldn't catch you. You were going to make it through, whether Eric liked it or not and it would all be thanks to your amazing boyfriend.

PETER: Four was explaining to you all how the fear landscape was going to go, and you couldn't help but feel your arms get sweaty. How would you pass this without being caught? Everyone was going to get to see you fail and they would kill you shortly afterwards. You were a threat, and that was what you were always going to be. Peter stood next to you, crossing his arms as he listened to Four. He was the only one who knew, and in some way, you felt as though you made a mistake telling him. When Four was done lecturing, he dismissed you all and you quickly turned around to walk away. You heard Peter call your name, but you continued to walk faster. When you heard his footsteps begin to fasten, you began to jog, but his hand caught your arm, turning you around.
