TOBIAS: You had just gotten out of the Choosing Ceremony; you decided to stay in Dauntless, knowing you would never be accepted anywhere else. You ran alongside your fellow Dauntless born, laughing at the new transfers who couldn't keep up. The train ride back to Dauntless Headquarters was nothing out of the ordinary.
"Let's go, Y/N!" Marlene, your best friend exclaimed, hurling herself out of the moving train. You laughed at the newbies who watched you in awe as you jumped out. You rolled on your side and quickly stood up. You and Marlene ran up to the rest of the crowd, hurriedly catching up to Uriah and Lynn.
"Alright, listen up!" The youngest Dauntless leader announced, catching everyone's attention. He walked on the ledge of the building eyeing each and every one of you.
"I'm Eric, one of your leaders. If you want to enter Dauntless, this is the way in. If you don't have the guts to jump, then you don't belong in Dauntless."
"Is there water at the bottom or something?" A boy in blue asked, causing everyone to scoff. What kind of a question was that?
"And he's supposed to be from Erudite?" Marlene asked, causing you both to break into a fit of giggles.
"I'll go in right behind you." Lynn whispered, playfully pushing you forward. You held your ground and tried to walk back. Uriah tried pushing Marlene in as well, but she held onto him for dear life before he could even walk further.
"What are you talking about?" You asked, turning to Lynn. You soon realized that Eric had asked for a volunteer to go first, and surprisingly, a stiff volunteered. Everyone watched her jump in and after, it was easy.
"See you guys at the bottom!" Uriah exclaimed, causing all of the Dauntless born to cheer. After Uriah jumped, it was Marlene, then Lynn, and then you. When you jumped in, you laughed to cover up the weird feeling you got in your stomach. When you landed on the net, you laughed even harder. A pair of strong arms picked you up off of the net and you gently pushed them off.
"I'm good." You breathed out, looking up at the person who helped you out. Your eyes widened at the sight. It was the infamous Four, the one who only had four fears. You've seen him on the Dauntless news as a child, but never in the flesh. You immediately felt some heat go up to your cheeks.
"Name?" He asked, looking down at his clipboard.
"Y/N."
"I'm Four, nice to meet you." He looked at your attire and returned his gaze to his clipboard.
"Dauntless born. Join Lauren." He said, disregarding you immediately. You walked towards Marlene, who winked at you.
"He's hot." You stated, pushing Marlene playfully as you did so.
"Gross." Lauren said from behind you. You and Marlene laughed, continuing to stare at the handsome instructor.
PETER: It was already the second week of initiate training, and you were highly doubting your decision. In Amity, there was labor, but not exhausting, near death labor like in Dauntless. You had to fight people until they fell unconscious, and as cruel as you wanted to be, your Amity roots would not let you finish them off. Today was yet another day of fighting and you were ready, but not ready to face the boy named Peter. You were always training if it wasn't your day to fight, so you've never seen him fight nor paid attention to him; you heard that he was one of the best, though, and that frightened you. You continued to put powder on your hands before you heard Eric ask,
"Which one of you is Y/N?" Everyone looked at you and you hesitantly raised your hand. Eric looked you up and down; you knew he was already underestimating you.
