Walking back from Damian's home, we were in utter silence. I wondered if she had gotten my satellite, my ray traveling in lite years, if it had reached her, if she had heard it. I wondered if when she looked back at me, if she saw the walls I had up in the beginning, as if she had never broken them down. I wondered if she felt the same sense of distance I did in between us, though we were standing right next to each other. She was an entirely different Galaxy. I turned my head towards her, trying to capture her attention.

"Rose-" I was cut off by her hands wrapping around my neck and her lips meeting mine. I slowly brought my hands to her waist, pulling her closer to me. I could feel her constellations flooding through me, my static heart beating faster. As if the stars had aligned, as if everything made sense, my own soul became a constellation itself. The distance of thousands of lite years between us had been shortened, broken. Our constellation minds had truly aligned at that moment. I felt her heart beat sync up with my static one, my broken one. We were in our own world, our own twilight, our own galaxy.

"I heard your satellite," she began, her mouth close to my ear. "I promise it did not get lost in our several-lite-year constellations."
