Chapter 10: Breakfast Time

Jay awoke with a thump falling off the bed. When he opened his eyes, all was white till he found there was one whoop cream on his face. He pounced up on his knees and tried to figure out where he was. He then stood all the way and noticed everyone else gone from the bedroom.

Did he wake up too late? Was everyone taken by... Aliens?? Jay rubbed his face with his blanket and changed into his suit. He went out the door.

The hallway was empty so he ran onto the deck of the bounty. No one there either. Hmmm..maybe the dining area. He ran over there wondering if he was actually right about them being abducted.

When he opened the door, they all sat at the table, staring at him. Suddenly, they all laughed. Jay was a little confused, until he realized what they had pulled! "You guys pranked me!" Cole stood up in front of the table doing jazz hands. "Surprise!"

Kai laughed, "You were so sound asleep, it was too easy!"
Jay was a little flustered, not just about a prank but Cole was sitting right next to Nya at the table. "Great, great! You had your fun. It's over now."
Lloyd said to Jay, "Relax. We're done. Besides, it's fun for me to not be the one picked on this time."

Jay slowly looked around the room. "Uh, may I ask where Misako and Sensei Wu are?"
Zane answered, "They went out."
Jay made out the sentence the wrong way, "On a date?"

The room was half silent. Zane said again in a tone of no arrogance, "To the market."
Jay suddenly understood, "Ohh."
Kai rolled his eyes at Jay. Does he even recall that Lloyd is sitting RIGHT THERE? He just shrugged an ate his bacon and eggs.

Nya sighed in glee, "Mmmmm..this is so good, Zane!" Zane was delighted at her compliment. "Thank you. A fairly popular recipe in a cookbook made in 1991 I copied."
Nya smiled wide, "Neeat."
Cole proudly announced, "I hope you like Zane's cooking as much as mine cause I'm cooking tonight!"

Everyone cringed. Jay was even putting his finger towards his mouth with his tongue hanging out. Cole notice them all and frowned.
Kai stood up and patted Cole's shoulder, "Don't worry, it's nothing against you, its just that your cooking sucks."
Cole just asked, "Then what do you think we should do? It's MY night and I'm so not passing it off to Zane!"
Nya had an idea. "Why don't we eat out? We haven't in a while."
Kai crossed his arms and stared across the table to his sister. "And where do you plan on getting the money?"
Nya explained, "From the bake sale of course!"
Cole turned to Nya in his chair. "Wait a minute, you get money?"
Lloyd questioned, "You didn't know?" Jay laughed, "That's one of the cash prizes, dude!"
Cole defended, "I didn't know."

Zane went back to the conversation, "So where should we go to eat?"
Kai suggested, "Why don't we eat at Chen's Noodle House?" Kai came out way too excited.
Jay made a sly grin, "You wanna go to Chen's just to see Skylor."
Kai tried to hide his smile with, "That's not true." It obviously didn't work.
Cole shook his head, "Denial."
Kai took a bite of his eggs and muttered, "Whatever."

Lloyd lightened, "Wow, you do have a thing for her."
Kai threw back, "I remember that face when you were talking about Violet." Everyone oohed. Lloyd, lightly blushing and looked down at his breakfast. "Enough."

Zane smiled, "I love everyone's reactions when we accuse them for liking someone." Agreement was around the table.
Kai asked again while rubbing his head, "So, yes to Chen's then?" Again they agreed. Kai looked a little excited as they all were. Then they all cleaned up their plates and went their ways.

Now you know Violet is working at Chen's tonight and the Ninja are going there to eat and they have no idea that they are going to run into each other! Ahem* see you guys Comment and Vote!
