"I'm can't get off work anytime soon, honey," Wendy said into her cellphone, giggling a bit. Her fiancé responded, "Well, I miss you, of course," smiling on the other end.

Paul had always made her blush. Ever since they had met, she knew they were going to be a couple, but would've never thought they'd be getting married. He had asked for her hand in marriage after four years of being together. Of course, Wendy said yes. Paul was the love of her life. In fact, her first love.

Wendy would actually be headed to Paul's house soon. She wanted to surprise him with his favorite food, pizza from Papa John's. Not really romantic, but it was something he wouldn't expect from Wendy. She worked as a nurse in the ICU at Good Shepherd for 12 hours and 3 days a week. Paul thought she wouldn't have time to see him this late at night, but someone else could.

Paul had been cheating on Wendy, without her knowing of course. Wendy thought Paul was the perfect guy who wouldn't do anything to hurt the girl he planned to marry. But, no. He was in their bed making love to a girl who was definitely not Wendy. I mean, she wasn't supposed to be home anytime soon... Right?

Wendy was walking out of Papa John's with a stuffed crust, pepperoni pizza in her hands. She could imagine how happy Paul would be with his bright green eyes and his pearly smile. Wendy couldn't help but smile at the thought.

"Time to see my man," she said as she sat in the car he had bought her with the pizza in the passenger seat. She started up her engine, and drove to Paul's house. She couldn't wait to pack up her belongings and move into his lovely mansion. Too bad Wendy didn't know there was another girl staying there for the night.

Paul stopped what he was doing to look at the clock on his bedside table.

"11 pm. Still have an hour or so before she gets here," he said in his husky voice. The woman in his bed climbed on top of him, pulling at the button of his jeans. "Good," she whispered softly into his ear. They took off each other's clothes and continued what they did every Saturday night.

It was 20 minutes after 11 when Wendy pulled up quietly into Paul's driveway. She wasn't in her scrubs anymore because she had changed before leaving the hospital. Wendy was now in a tight fitting burgundy dress that showed off her curves perfectly, as Paul had said the night they became engaged. Wow, I love him so much. Wendy had thought to herself, smiling.

She grabbed the pizza box, quickly walking up the few reddish brick steps in her 6-inch red stilettos. When she reached the door, Wendy searched through her purse for several seconds before she was finally able to find her key to the house. She knew Paul would laugh at the thought of her trying to be quiet, but had to end up balancing a large pizza box on one of her knees while trying to dig through her humongous purse. Wendy finally unlocked the door and stepped inside.

It was very quiet inside the house, which didn't surprise her. Paul is probably in his bed upstairs. She nodded at the thought, and started walking up the long path of stairs.

The woman in Paul's bed laid her head on him, and looked at over at the clock. "11:30," she murmured. Paul smiled at her devilishly, pushing her on her back and climbing on top of her soft, curvy figure. He whispered in her ear, "We have plenty of time to do what we want." She bit her lip, pulling his muscular body closer to her own.

Wendy smiled happily as she arrived closer to Paul's bedroom. She was a few steps away when she heard a faint noise. Is that coming from the bedroom? He must be snoring. She thought. Wendy walked closer to the door, and was about to turn the knob when she heard something that sounded like the bed moving. She turned it and opened the door slowly.

Paul's other woman moaned loudly, and he thrusted faster into her. He felt her tightening around him, knowing they were both about to climax.

Paul's back was facing Wendy. She gasped in disbelief, dropping the pizza box on the hardwood floor. Everything started playing in slow motion through her eyes. Paul looked back, and that's when a tear escaped Wendy's eye. He jumped up out of the bed, trying to say something to Wendy, but everything was mute. The other woman grabbed her clothes and quickly ran out of the room. Wendy turned her head towards Paul, and he was on the floor with a blanket wrapped around him, staring at Wendy with tears in his eyes. This triggered her senses and for her to start yelling at him.

"You.. You cheater! Liar! I can't believe you did this!"

Her voice had cracked every other word as multiple tears swept down her cheeks and onto the floor. Paul acted as if he was going to say something, but Wendy ran out of the room before he could get a word out.

When she got to the stairs she took off her heels, and almost stumbled down them, but caught onto the railing. She heard footsteps, and looked back to see Paul, actually in clothes this time, a few feet away. Wendy had a sudden rise of adrenaline, and pretty much flew down the steps. When she reached the front door, she opened it quickly them slammed it straight into Paul's red face.

Wendy saw that it was raining, but that didn't stop her from running. She didn't care that her car was still at his house. She had another one, and didn't want to step a foot into the car he bought ever again. Wendy ran for what seemed like forever, but finally stopped, falling to the sidewalk.

All the tears left in her eyes poured down her face as quick as the heavy rain around her. She had scraped her knees, but the only pain she could feel was in her heart. Her makeup was smeared, and her whole body was soaked from the rain.

Many thoughts crossed her mind.

How long has this gone on? Why would the love of my life do this to me? I don't know if I'll ever trust anyone again..

Wendy ended up crying herself to sleep on the wet sidewalk for the night..
