He leaned in, pulling her closer by her shoulders. "Can I?" She nods and keeps her hands in fists, arms at her side. She's being pulled closer and closer. It seemed like every millimeter was a mile. She shut her eyes and moved up to her toes, waiting to meet him there. Her lips finally met his and-

"Cas!" I looked up at the teacher from my book and blinked. I glanced to the side at the rest of my classmates, all of their eyes on me.

"Yes?" I questioned, directed at the teacher. "What's going on?" I looked over at my algebra teacher, waiting for an answer.

"Put the book down! This is algebra so you have to do your work! I gave you half the class period to work on this homework. If you're already finished then I expect you to have finished 1 through 45." She held out her hand to me. "If you've finished, just turn it in early." I looked up at the teacher, sweat already beading at my forehead.

"I haven't finished it yet." I looked back down at my book, expecting it to be over already.

Her lips finally met his and-

A hand slammed down over the words. I looked up at the person that this hand belongs to and saw the face of an angry teacher.

"Then don't read!" She pulled the book from under my hands and closed it without the bookmark keeping it's place. "If you want to read you should have stayed home this week too!" She dropped the book on the desk, making my papers fly everywhere. I glared as she walked back to her desk.

"Fucking bitch..." I muttered under my breath, hoping nobody heard me. I looked down to my packet of exponents and grimaced. 'Shit,' I thought to myself, 'I wasn't paying attention...' I looked up at the clock. 'Another 23 minutes' I looked back down at my paper and sighed, 'Guess I'll do it at home, I have to look up how to anyways' I opened up my book angrily and flipped to the page I was on. Finally, now I can finish this sentence.

Her lips finally met his and the world felt dark and gray still. She pulled back instantly and shook her head. "D-Don't like it..." She pushed her body away from his and frowned, wiping her mouth with her sleeve. He looked at her, heartbroken.

"Wait... Why? Are you okay?" He tried to move closer and she backed away. "Laila, what's wrong?" She shook her head.

"I don't like it... I'm sorry Jack, but-"

I jumped as the same hand slammed down onto the pages again.

"Cas what did I say about you reading in this class?!" I rolled my eyes and closed my book, bookmark in place this time.

"Fine, I'll work..." I glared harder as she stalked back to her desk. I glanced back up at the clock. '5 minutes left in class' I looked down to the small passage I read, 'How did it take 10 minutes to read just that? Normally that would barely even take a minute' I put all my algebra papers away and opened my book again. 'I don't care, there's 5 minutes left in class, everyone is on their phone. I can't in trouble for reading now.'
