It had been a week since the we had celebrated the fact that our three children would grow up together and it was still hard to believe. Aspen and I always thought we would educate our children together and even though this was going to happen in a different way than what we would have expected it to, it was a better way than what we had ever thought!
"Good morning America I brought you some tea. You're going to have a very busy Saturday today, starting with an interview for the morning show and ending with one for The late late show. Mason tried to move one of them just so the stress of them wouldn't hit you at the same time especially since you would have to stay awake for a very long time today but Aspen calmed him down and told him to stop treating you like a child because of the amount you hated it." It was my maid, I hated having one but she seemed to think this is the best job she could've ever asked for.
"Thank you for the tea Sierra I really appreciate it. I'll have to thank Aspen for that, it was getting very much out of control, I have been meaning to talk to him this whole week but with the amount of things going on I haven't had a chance." She smiles and nods as I say this as she hands me the daily crossword. "Thank you Sierra, I was wondering if you could send Max up."
"Yes of course madame, right away!" She says this and turns around to go get him from goodness knows where.
A couple minutes pass before Max shows up at the foot of the bed and he's out of breath. "America are you ok? Sierra sent me up she said you needed me, I was in my office and I just raced up stairs." I roll my eyes at him the only reason I wanted to see him is because ever since I told him I was pregnant he's waited until I've woken up said hello then told him that I was alright before heading down to do his work and as much as I've been dreading him babying me I can't deny how much I liked his face being the first things I saw every morning, also most days he made food for me and even though it wasn't as delicious as what the cooks here made, it reminded me of my old house and my family.
"Max don't worry I'm fine I just woke up and you weren't here so I got worried. You do know that even if I'm pregnant you can talk to me about what's going on with you. I don't need to be babied to that extent. Please just tell me something before I go stir crazy." He laughs at this but I'm very serious so I just kind of sit there until he stops and realizes that I wasn't kidding and I need to be told something that doesn't relate to my pregnancy.
"Ok alright, um let's see. Right now we're looking at the old books trying to find out as much as we can about the world before casts so we can know exactly what we'll have to do to be able to get the world back to the way it was without ruining it along the way. It's not easy especially since the world used to be a lot like it is now just before you were free to go to school as long as you pleased you could be born a maid and work your way to become a surgeon. Let's see right now we're trying to make medical care free for the lower casts, it's going to be more difficult than expected, mostly because the higher casts will want free services as well but we want to do this because the lower casts have poor health simply because of the fact that they've never been able to get yearly check ups or anything of the sort so when the time comes to take the casts away we assume that because of their physical differences they'll be treated as if there were still the casts and the main reason why we want to get rid of them is because of the fact that people are being treated differently for no other reason then the fact they are lacking the money to be considered as people which is completely unfair and is why I am going to visit the lower casts next week and..."
"You are going to visit the lower casts next week? As in you by yourself, as in without me?" He just looks at me, I think he was expecting this response and does not seem very happy that he actually received it.
"America please understand why I do not want you coming on this trip, it's dangerous and I know that you don't think it isn't because they know you were a lower cast before you were selected and all that but that's exactly my point, they know you used to be a lower cast and got out and the thing is we still don't know who they feel about this and we don't want to find out the hard way."
"Maxon I did not make vows to be there for you through thick and thin just to be left behind when it's thick. I will not be staying here while you go out for whatever the reason just because I am your wife and I am with child." I kiss him and head to my washroom realizing I forgot to tell him something I turn around to face him "Max I was wondering if you could be here tomorrow morning when I wake up and if that could start being out like ritual from now on because I got used to it last week and I found that I liked it a lot." I finish the walk to the washroom where he follows me in for our own little makeout session.
