Chapter 14............................Triple Confessions Part II
"Rachel, wait! Slow down! You can't just barge in there!" whisper-yelled Tristan. I ignored him and continued speed walking to the doors of my parent's office.
"Yes she can, this is practically her company anyway." said Mark in a nonchalant normal tone of voice. I ignored him as well, but I did let the side of my mouth curl upwards briefly in a small smirk.
After the guys told me that my parents were involved in this situation, I immediately knew this is what they were trying to hide from me. But what I want to know is why?
So I made the guys take me to my parent's office building in the city and now here we are, right outside of their office door. I paused to collect my thoughts and take a deep breath before knocking twice and pushing the door open.
"Mom, Dad I need to talk to-" I stopped in the middle of speaking because it wasn't just my parents who were in their office.
"Hey Rach" said Brandon uneasily. He reached up and scratched the back of his neck nervously. Oh yeah, you should be nervous brother, in fact everyone in this room should be.
"What is going on here?!" I asked heatedly, my frustration was beginning to make an appearance again because even though I had a feeling my brother knew more than he told me a few days ago, I'm certain that he knows as much as my parents do now. That makes him just as bad as them in my eyes.
"Robyn, sweetie, why don't you take a seat so we can talk? Boys, could you give us a minute?" said my mother sweetly, but when she spoke to Mark, Tristan, and Tyler, her eyes harden just slightly, however it was enough for me to catch.
"No, they stay here. I know this involves them too, if it didn't then why would they have been following me around this past week and telling me that I'm 'one of them'? Not to mention I know you guys already know about what happened at school and I'm telling you, that wasn't just me that caused it." I said seriously, not backing down. On the ride here I began to piece a few things together and I think I've got a few things figured out.
"Ok then, why don't you all have a seat?" my father said after it was clear that I wasn't letting anyone leave. I gave him a curt nod and walked over to the long white couch that was stationed on one side of my parent's huge office. There were enough seats for everyone in the room so when I sat down, Mark sat on my left and Tristan sat on my right with Tyler sitting beside him. Brandon took a seat in one of the single white-leather chairs, perpendicular to the couch I sat on, and my parents sat across from us on the white love seat.
"Alright Robyn, where would you like to start?" my Dad asked me. I have a feeling he's going to be doing most of the talking, which is probably for the best, I take big news better from him anyway. Like when I found out Santa Claus wasn't real. That was a serious blow to my childhood.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked right away. I could feel the betrayal and hurt in my voice but I paid it no attention, they should know how I feel.
"We didn't think it was the right time. We wanted to wait and keep it hidden as long as we could." answered my dad with flickers of regret shinning in his brilliant green eyes. I'm glad he regrets his decision now, but that doesn't fix anything.
