Chapter 17................Triple Siblings

"Ok, I'll be right there." I told Tyler, who was standing at my bedroom door with an apprehensive look on his face. He must have known Mark had just told me about his change, or maybe he was worried about how I would react to the news of Jaz waking up.

However, he didn't say anything more to me, he just shared a glance with Mark and then left my room. I sat there for a moment making sure my mind was in the right place to talk to Jaz without starting a big fight about what happened. Yes, I'm still kind of pissed that her and Mark kissed. I mean was it really necessary? I'd rather her talk crap about me than have her lips all over one of the guys, especially Mark. Not to mention the topic of this sister of hers is really starting to bug me too, why would she hide something like that?

"Are you ready Rachel? They're probably waiting on you, and I don't know about you but I don't think Brandon is going to wait on you much longer before he starts grilling her with questions." Mark said to me in a quiet voice, and his facial expression was patient so I think that even if I told Mark I wasn't ready to face Jaz yet, he wouldn't have the slightest problem with it. Nevertheless, I want to get this over with so at least one thing in my life will go back to normal.

"I'm ready, and thank you for telling me about your change, it really means a lot that you shared that with me, especially considering the circumstances that caused your change." I said gratefully, and it's true, that couldn't have been an easy thing to share with me.

"It's no problem Rachel, anything you need or want you know all you have to do is ask." He replied, and if I wasn't looking him in the eye I wouldn't have believed him. He hasn't been the friendliest of the three, but I sense him opening up more to me and relaxing more around me, which is exactly what I want. I smiled gratefully at him then I stood up and straightened my clothes from where they got a little bunched up from me laying on the bed. Mark stood up as well and held his hand out in front of me, signaling for me to walk first. I cast him a teasing glance and said,

"Mark, now is not the time to check out my ass." He grinned a surprisingly boyish grin, considering he has a slight goatee, and responded,

"It's always time for that, even Tyler does it when he thinks no one is looking, but don't tell him I told you." I can't believe this, sweet Tyler has been eyeing me up all this time! I am so gonna get him. At least he tries to be subtle with it though, can't say the same for the other two.

"Oh my gosh, I can't believe innocent Tyler does that!" I told Mark as we made our way out of my room and down the hall. He looked at me incredulously with one eyebrow raised and quirked his lips up at one corner while his normally chocolate brown eyes broadcasted a captivating hazel color, a lighter brown with a faint green outline. How in the world can he be so bloody good looking is a question I want the answer to.

"You think Tyler's innocent? Psh, he's just as bad as me and Tristan, you just haven't seen it yet, and you aren't inside his head like we are so you really have no idea." voiced Mark, and I know he is telling me this not to rub it in that I don't have my powers yet, but he's telling me this because it's the truth and I really don't know what Tyler's thinking. However, he just reminded me that I have much more to learn about these boys. I mean never in a million years would have pegged Tristan as someone with blood on his hands, sure at school I would notice how dangerous he and the guys would come off to people, but even before we began hanging out together I would catch him goofing off one way or another and he just seemed so carefree. Also, Mark is doing a 180 with his attitude around me, I was close to convincing myself that he truly despised me at one point because he would always be mad or brooding, but I learned he had a reason for being so serious. Now I'm learning that my go-to buddy for intimate conversations is just as pervy as his touchy feely friends. I say touchy feely because we all know how Tristan is, but now Mark has his arm wrapped around my shoulders with me tucked into his side.
